The ownership rights of both the teams passed to new owners. Meanwhile, the discussion intensified regarding the late Australian spinner Shane Warne, under whose captaincy Rajasthan had won the title in the very first season. It is being told that due to the Rajasthan deal, Warne’s family became the owner of Rs 460 crore.

While players have a contract with the team for the amount for which they are bought, Warne did something different from the very beginning of the IPL. According to media reports, Warne had also taken 0.75% stake in the team along with an annual fee of $657,000. Warne played for Rajasthan for four seasons from 2008 to 2011. In this way his total stake became 3 percent.

Although in the initial days this investment seemed very small, but as time progressed, this investment of Warne became very big for him.

How much was the team sold for?

Rajasthan team was bought by an American consortium for a price of 1.63 billion dollars (about Rs 15,290 crore), according to which Warne’s share became about Rs 460 crore. With this amount, Warne defeated legends like Rohit, Virat and Dhoni.
