Muharram 2026 Date: The moon of Mahe Muharram was sighted in the district on Tuesday. City Qazi Mufti Muhammad Azhar Shamsi announced that Wednesday, June 17, is the first date of Mahe Muharram. The tenth day of Muharram (Yaume Ashura) is on Friday, June 26.

Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar i.e. Hijri year. 1448 started with the moon. With this, the memory of the great sacrifice made by Prophet-e-Islam Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, Hazrat Syedna Imam Hussain Radiyallahu Anhu and his companions has been refreshed.
