Bank holiday from June 22 to 28: A new week is starting from tomorrow. In the coming week, private and government banks in India will remain closed for four days between June 22 and June 28, 2026.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a list of total eleven holidays this month on the basis of national, regional and religious holidays. This also includes holidays of second Saturday, fourth Saturday and all Sundays. However, these holidays will not be applicable to the entire country simultaneously, rather some holidays are limited only to particular states and cities.

Complete list of bank holidays next week (22-28 June)

June 22 (Monday)- Banks will remain closed in states like Odisha, West Bengal and Gujarat on the occasion of Rath Yatra.

June 25 (Thursday)- On the special occasion of Muhurram, banks are going to remain closed only in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

June 26 (Friday)- Banks are going to remain closed in most of the cities of the country on the occasion of Muharram/Ashura. These include many big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Patna, Jaipur, Bhopal.

June 27 (Saturday)- This is the fourth Saturday of the month, hence banks will remain closed on this day. According to the rules of the Reserve Bank, all banks from government to private sector remain closed on this day.

June 28 (Sunday)- Due to weekly off, banks will remain closed across the country on this day.

closed for three consecutive days

If you are a resident of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra or Bihar, then your banks are going to remain closed for three consecutive days from June 26 (Friday) to June 28 (Sunday). In such a situation, work like check clearance, making a draft or depositing cash should be completed on Thursday, June 25 only.

Take help of digital banking

Even though bank branches may remain closed due to holidays, there is no need to panic as all online digital services like net banking, mobile banking, UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe) and ATMs will operate normally round the clock.
