In IPL 2026, this do-or-die match played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium of Raipur remained thrilling till the last over. In the end, RCB won on the last ball and eliminated Mumbai Indians from the tournament.

Batting first, Mumbai Indians scored 166 runs in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma took the responsibility on behalf of the team, but RCB bowlers stopped Mumbai from scoring big by taking wickets at regular intervals. Bhuvneshwar Kumar showed excellent control in bowling and saved important runs.

The whole match turned upside down in the last over

RCB, chasing the target of 167 runs, had a good start, but due to continuous fall of wickets in the middle order, the match got completely stuck. In the last over, Bengaluru needed 15 runs to win. Captain Suryakumar Yadav expressed confidence in young fast bowler Raj Bawa.

The start of the last over was bad for Mumbai. The first ball was wide and the second ball was a no ball. During this time, Romario Shepherd’s bat also broke, which made the atmosphere of the field more tense. RCB got only one run on the free hit, but the pressure kept increasing on Mumbai.

After this, Raj Bawa bowled two more wides, due to which the match started completely tilting towards RCB. Now RCB needed three runs on the last two balls. Bhuvneshwar took one run on the fifth ball and gave the strike to Rasik Salam Dar. RCB needed two runs on the last ball to win. Rasik played the ball straight towards the bowler. The ball came out of Raj Bawa’s hands and went towards long on and meanwhile Rasik ran fast and completed the second run.

The wicketkeeper did try to run out, but Rasik’s brilliant dive gave RCB a historic victory. With this win, Bengaluru strengthened its playoff hopes, while Mumbai Indians’ journey ended here.
