The Special Cell of Delhi Police, taking a major action, thwarted the conspiracy to kill the famous comedian Munawwar Farooqui. The police arrested two shooters after the encounter on Thursday (October 02, 2025). Both criminals are associated with the gang of notorious gangsters Goldie Brar and Rohit Godara.

Police had received information that two shooters of Haryana were going to carry out a major incident in Delhi. On Thursday morning, the police planted a trap on Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj Road. As soon as the suspect bike riders were seen by the police, the police tried to stop them, but both of them started firing directly on the police instead of stopping.

Target was found to murder Munawar Farooqui

After the firing, the police immediately retaliated. After this encounter that lasted for a few minutes, both were caught. Police also recovered arms and cartridges from the spot. The names of the arrested shooters are said to be from Rahul Panipat and a resident of Sahil Bhiwani. When this miscreants were questioned, during interrogation, he told that he was targeted for the murder of Munawar Farooqui.

Planning to kill Munawar in Bengaluru

Both of them have confessed during interrogation that they were keeping an eye on Munawar for some time. For this, Munawar’s movement was tracked in Mumbai and Bangalore. Not only this, during interrogation, the accused also told that the entire plan to attack in Bengaluru was also ready, but at the last moment Munawar changed the car and the plan failed.

According to the police, Goldie Brar and Rohit Godara were the mind behind this entire conspiracy. These gangsters sitting abroad had instructed both of them to attack Munawar Farooqui as soon as they get a chance. Now the police is finding out why Munawar was on his target.

Case filed against both accused in advance

According to the police, Rahul is a resident of Panipat district of Haryana. There are many cases registered on Rahul before. Its name was revealed in a triple murder in Yamunanagar in December 2024. Apart from this, in February 2025, he was also caught with weapons in Bikaner.

At the same time, 37 -year -old Sahil is a resident of Bhiwani, Haryana. Sahil also has cases of fraud. The special cell had received intelligence about the movement of these two criminals in Delhi-NCR.

When Munawar’s mother died

Munawar said, ‘My mother never received appreciation in the family. He saw a lot of pain in 22 years of marriage with my father. She was very patient, but that patience also has a limit. He kept pressing a lot inside himself for years. I was 13 years old and someone picked me up in the morning and said that he is in the hospital. When I reached there, I came to know that my family did not want to tell anyone that they had poisoned. The reason for which I did not understand. There was a nurse in that hospital who was a family friend from my mother. I told them. After that my mother was immediately taken to the emergency room but she could not escape.

Munawar’s father gets paralysis attack

In a conversation with Prakhar Gupta, Munawar further said, ‘Initially I was very angry with my father. But then I saw that he realized his mistakes. So I let my anger go. Two years after my mother’s departure, my father got a paralysis attack and 80 percent body became her paralysis. He lived 11 years old. I kept looking at him as a villain but he was my father. You keep telling yourself that they did it wrong, but they got his punishment. He himself went through pain. What do I hate this person? There was no one around them. His situation forced me to forgive him. After this, he stopped doing anything.
