Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said, “In the last 10 years, AAP MLAs and councilors gave an open exemption to 5-6 floor buildings in areas like Mustafabad. At the same time, Labor Minister Kapil Mishra blamed AAP for” vote bank politics “.

Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed grief on behalf of AAP and appealed to the workers to help in rescue work. But AAP retaliated at the BJP and said that even during the long power of BJP in MCD, unauthorized construction flourished. Both parties are blaming each other of corruption and negligence.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta ordered an inquiry into the accident and said that the culprits will not be spared. MCD has said to start a survey of unauthorized and unsafe buildings. The Prime Minister’s Office announced a compensation of Rs 2-2 lakh for the dead and Rs 50,000 for the injured, but Yadav described it as “insufficient in inflation”.

Big appeal to improve building rules

The accident of Mustafabad highlights the serious problem of unauthorized construction in Delhi. Yadav clearly said that until the building rules do not improve and corruption will not be curbed, such accidents are not going to stop. He appealed to the government that
