Bhuvaraha Swami Temple: Are you also facing difficulty in finding property or are you repeatedly facing some kind of problems while building a house, then definitely visit the Bhuvaraha Swamy Temple of Mysore.

This temple is dedicated to Lord Varaha, the third incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to beliefs, visiting here provides relief from disputes related to land, property and house construction related obstacles.

However, according to popular beliefs, the Varaha incarnation is associated with Rahu and carries the energy of Mars. The main deity of the temple, Bhuvarhanath Swami, is carved from a rare black stone called Krishnashila. His statue, about 14 feet high, attracts everyone’s attention.

According to the priests of the temple, whenever there is any problem, most of the devotees come to Bhuvaraha Swamy temple for darshan. The major problems are related to property delays or frequent interruptions in construction work.

There is a special ritual in the temple named Brick Puja. After worshiping bricks in the temple, devotees use them for construction work. By doing this the problem of delay in construction work or property dispute gets resolved.

This temple of Lord Varaha is also considered helpful in resolving legal matters related to land. According to some devotees, praying here regularly brings blessings of security along with reduction in financial stress.

Abhishekam ritual associated with the temple

Apart from the brick puja ritual, the temple also involves another impressive Abhishekam ritual. In this ritual, the huge Krishnashila idol of Bhuvaranath Swami is bathed with ingredients like milk, curd, honey, lemon, sugarcane juice, Ganga water, sandalwood, turmeric and kumkum.

Temple related traditions

This temple of Vishnu incarnation Lord Varaha follows the Thenkalai tradition of Vaishnavism. Special pujas are performed in the temple on the main festivals and on the occasion of Khakar Varaha Jayanti. During these days, special types of mantras are also chanted along with fire rituals.

Former JDS MP Prajwal Revanna was convicted by a special court of People’s Representatives in the rape case filed by a domestic assistant of Mysuru, KR Nagar. This decision was pronounced just 14 months after the case was registered, in which the trial was completed very fast. The punishment will be announced on Saturday. While hearing the verdict in the court, Revanna became emotional and was seen crying while leaving the court.

During the investigation and hearing, the victim introduced a sari as evidence, which she kept safe. In the forensic investigation, parts of the semen were found on the saree, which was produced in the court and proved to be an important evidence in proving rape. The case was registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology Act, 2008.

Special investigation team of CID
CID’s Special Investigation Team (SIT), which was led by Inspector Shobha, gathered 123 evidence during the investigation and filed a charge sheet of about 2,000 pages. The trial started on 31 December 2024. In the next seven months, the court recorded statements of 23 witnesses and forensic reports of video clips were included.

Case related to 48 -year -old woman
The case is related to a 48 -year -old woman who worked as a Sahayika at the Gannikaada Farmhouse of the family at Holenarsipura in Hassan district. In 2021, he was allegedly raped twice and the accused recorded the act in his mobile phone. Four separate cases have been registered against Prajwal Revanna, facing allegations of rape and sexual harassment and a special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to investigate cases.

HD Deve Gowda’s grandson Prajwal Revanna
Prajwal Revanna is the former Prime Minister and the grandson of JD (S) Patron HD Deve Gowda. These cases came to light when the alleged pornographic videos allegedly related to Prajwal Revanna were broadcast before the Lok Sabha elections to be held on 26 April 2024. The SIT arrested him on 31 May last year on arrival at Bangalore Airport from Germany in connection with a case registered at Holenarsipura Town Police Station. Revanna lost to Hassan parliamentary constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, later JD (S) suspended him from the party.
