A shocking gruesome incident has come to light in Mysore district of Karnataka. A 20 -year -old girl was brutally murdered in Garsanshalli village of Hansur taluk here. The girl was murdered by her lover Siddaraju. After the incident, the girl’s body was found lying on the bed in the lodge room, the lower part of the face was completely blown. A lot of blood was seen spreading on the floor.

Rakshaita was in an illegal relationship
The victim has been identified as Rakshita, who was married to a daily wage laborer from Kerala. He had an illicit relationship with one of his own relatives Siddaraju. Siddaraju is accused of killing him.

There was a fight between the two
Police said that during the stay in the lodge, there was a fight between the two and then the man allegedly put gunpowder in his mouth and used the trigger used to explode gelatin rods in the mines.

Attempt to mislead after murder
After the incident, the accused tried to mislead others and claimed that the woman died of a mobile phone burst. However, while trying to escape, he was caught by the local people and handed over to the police. Shortly after the incident, the body was identified and Saligram police took Siddaraju into custody. The investigation of the case is going on.

The special court in Bengaluru sentenced former JDS MP Prajwal Revanna to life imprisonment on Saturday (2 August 2025). The court sentenced him under sections 376 (2) (K) and 376 (2) (n) of the Indian Penal Code. Apart from this, the court has ordered a fine of Rs 10 lakh on the convict and compensation of Rs 7 lakh to the victim.

Court convicted in rape case

Special court judge Santosh Gajanan Bhat, a special court of MPs and MLAs, on Friday convicted 34 -year -old Prajwal in one of the four cases of sexual harassment and rape. During the hearing, the shrine appeared nervous and when the judge convicted him, he cried. He also pleaded for less punishment from the court. The hearing of the case was completed on 18 July and the verdict was reserved for July 30.

The case is related to a 48 -year -old woman working as a assistant in the farmhouse of the Revanna family in Holenarsipura in Hassan district. In the year 2021, the woman was raped at the farm house and Revanna’s residence in Bangalore. The accused recorded this act in his mobile phone.

26 witnesses were interrogated

The Special Investigation Team (SIT), who investigated the case, filed a 1,632 -page charge sheet in September 2024 with statements of 113 witnesses. The prosecution questioned 26 witnesses and presented 180 documents.

There are four separate cases against Prajwal Revanna, for which an SIT was formed for investigation. These cases came to light when the alleged pornographic videos allegedly related to the creature were broadcast before the Lok Sabha elections to be held on 26 April 2024. The SIT arrested Prajwal at the Bengaluru Airport on 31 May last year in connection with a case registered at Holenarsipura Town Police Station when he returned from Germany.

Former JDS MP Prajwal Revanna was convicted by a special court of People’s Representatives in the rape case filed by a domestic assistant of Mysuru, KR Nagar. This decision was pronounced just 14 months after the case was registered, in which the trial was completed very fast. The punishment will be announced on Saturday. While hearing the verdict in the court, Revanna became emotional and was seen crying while leaving the court.

During the investigation and hearing, the victim introduced a sari as evidence, which she kept safe. In the forensic investigation, parts of the semen were found on the saree, which was produced in the court and proved to be an important evidence in proving rape. The case was registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology Act, 2008.

Special investigation team of CID
CID’s Special Investigation Team (SIT), which was led by Inspector Shobha, gathered 123 evidence during the investigation and filed a charge sheet of about 2,000 pages. The trial started on 31 December 2024. In the next seven months, the court recorded statements of 23 witnesses and forensic reports of video clips were included.

Case related to 48 -year -old woman
The case is related to a 48 -year -old woman who worked as a Sahayika at the Gannikaada Farmhouse of the family at Holenarsipura in Hassan district. In 2021, he was allegedly raped twice and the accused recorded the act in his mobile phone. Four separate cases have been registered against Prajwal Revanna, facing allegations of rape and sexual harassment and a special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to investigate cases.

HD Deve Gowda’s grandson Prajwal Revanna
Prajwal Revanna is the former Prime Minister and the grandson of JD (S) Patron HD Deve Gowda. These cases came to light when the alleged pornographic videos allegedly related to Prajwal Revanna were broadcast before the Lok Sabha elections to be held on 26 April 2024. The SIT arrested him on 31 May last year on arrival at Bangalore Airport from Germany in connection with a case registered at Holenarsipura Town Police Station. Revanna lost to Hassan parliamentary constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, later JD (S) suspended him from the party.
