National Technology Day 2025: National Technology Day is being celebrated in India today i.e. May 11. This day is very important in terms of technical history of India. Today is dedicated to remembering India’s scientists and their achievements. The purpose of celebrating this day is to honor the achievements achieved so far in science and technology sector in our country. Why is National Technology Day celebrated
National Technology Day is being celebrated with enthusiasm today i.e. on 11 May 2025. On this day, India conducted a successful nuclear test in Pokhran, Rajasthan on 11 May 1998. India conducted 5 successful nuclear tests during that time under Operation ‘Shakti’. This historical event established India as a nuclear power and introduced its scientific abilities to the world. In honor of this remarkable achievement, the Government of India announced on 11 May 1999 as National Technology Day. National Technology Day 2025 Theme
Every year the Technology Department Board (TDB) of the Ministry of Science and Technology selects a theme for National Technology Day. National Technology Day is 2025 theme- Innovate for a Sustainable Future means ‘Innovation for the sustainable future.’ Which means what is the role of Science and Technology in the present and future challenges such as climate change, clean energy, and digital incidence.

National Technology Day Educational Institutions, Government Bodies and Tech companies conduct seminars, exhibitions and awareness campaigns to promote the culture of innovation and scientific thinking. Now that India is moving forward in its journey towards becoming a knowledge -inspired and operated economy, National Technology Day works deeply to mark the transformational power of technology in the creation of a better and self -reliant nation.
