If you too are waiting for new NCERT books and are downloading them from social media or any messaging group, then be careful. A warning has been issued by NCERT. NCERT has said that pirated and unauthorized copies of many of its books are being circulated on social media, websites and messaging platforms, which can be dangerous to trust.

According to NCERT, recently a fake and unauthorized version of Class 9 Social Science book has been found viral on social media. Many websites and online platforms are promoting it to the students by claiming it to be the real NCERT book, whereas it has no connection with NCERT.

NCERT said that books are published and released only through its official channels. No book is allowed to be shared publicly before its official launch. In such a situation, the content available on social media or other unauthorized sources may be incorrect, incomplete, tampered or completely fake.

NCERT appealed

At the same time, NCERT has appealed to the students and teachers to obtain books only from official sources. The digital books are available for free on the NCERT website and ePathshala portal, while printed copies can be purchased from authorized vendors.

studies may be affected

In such situations, stay away from social media pages, apps, links or groups that claim to provide NCERT books or pre-launch study material. The content available on these platforms can be misleading and affect the studies of students.

This is a crime to commit

NCERT has taken a strong stand and said that printing, republishing, distributing or digital sharing of its copyrighted material without permission is a legal offense. This is punishable under the Copyright Act 1957 and other relevant laws.

Legal action will be taken
NCERT has said that legal action is being initiated against those involved in fake books and piracy. In such a situation, students and parents have been advised not to trust any unauthorized material and use only official sources.

New controversy broke out over the book
On the other hand, controversy has also arisen regarding NCERT’s Class 6 Kannada textbook ‘Krishna’. Education rights organization PAFRE has accused the book of religious references and promotion of vegetarianism, while NCERT clarified that the book is named after the Krishna river of Karnataka and only provides information about a balanced diet. No particular food or religious ideology has been promoted.
