A large number of voters are participating in this great festival of democracy at the polling booths. NDA and Grand Alliance are claiming that they are going to form the next government in Bihar.

There is a special request to the young friends who are going to vote for the first time to empower democracy by using their franchise and inspire others to vote.

After the announcement of Bihar election dates, there is now a fight for seats between both the Grand Alliance and NDA factions. It is being told that the seat sharing formula in NDA has been decided and it will be formally announced soon. If sources are to be believed, this time also JDU will play the role of elder brother in the elections and will contest on 102 seats, whereas BJP can contest on 101 seats. Apart from this, 40 seats can be left for Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha. It is expected that Chirag’s LJPR may get 27-28 seats.

What is the demand of Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha?

According to sources, an agreement has been reached between Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) President Upendra Kushwaha and BJP regarding seat sharing. It is being told that Kushwaha’s party can contest elections on 6-7 seats. However, till now Hindustani Awam Morcha chief Jitan Ram Manjhi is not satisfied about the seats. He has put forward the demand of 15 seats for HAM in front of BJP. Manjhi says that his party needs 8 seats to get the status of a state party, for this it will have to contest elections on at least 15 seats.

How will the seat distribution happen in NDA?

Talking about the equation of total 243 seats regarding Bihar Assembly elections 2025, JDU can contest on 102 seats and BJP can contest on 101 seats. At the same time, about 40 seats can be left for other allies, but if Kushwaha and Manjhi do not agree, then the final round of discussion is going on whether BJP and JDU are ready to give one seat each from their account and if one of them agrees or both agree and Chirag is adamant, then their 1 or 2 seats can increase. In this way, there seems to be a possibility of HAM getting 7 or 8 seats and Upendra Kushwaha getting 6 or 7 seats. That is, overall the entire discussion seems to be focused on these two-three seats only.
