In the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Prashant Kishore’s Jansuraj Party had given a different atmosphere...

In the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Prashant Kishore’s Jansuraj Party had given a different atmosphere to the entire election by entering the field with tremendous campaigning. While fielding candidates on 238 seats, the party had claimed that the public is ready for change and Jansuraj will play a decisive role. However, the picture that emerged after the counting of votes made the political strength of the party clear. The results showed that the impact of heavy campaigning could not translate into votes on the ground.

The party did not get a single victory in the fight for 238 seats. Only in Madhaura, Jansuraj candidate came second, in almost all other areas the party was reduced to third or fourth position. The counting of votes also made it clear that in many places the party got better votes than expected, but they were not enough to win any seat or pose a serious challenge.

In some seats, Jansuraj’s votes were many times more than NDA’s defeat.

An interesting aspect in the election results was that in many places the number of votes received by Jansuraj candidates was much more than the margin of defeat of the NDA candidate. Because of this, there is a heated discussion in political circles that if Jansuraj had not been in the fray, the result of these seats might have looked different.

Those seven seats where Jansuraj’s votes became a big factor

Below are the details of those 7 seats where NDA lost by a very small margin, but Jansuraj got many times more votes. These seats became the most interesting story of the election results.

Dhaka – NDA lost by only 178 votes, Jansuraj got 8,347 votes.
Jehanabad – difference 793, Jansuraj got 5,760 votes
Makhdumpur – margin 1,830, Jansuraj 4,803 votes
Tikari – margin 2,058, Jansuraj got 2,552 votes
Goh – margin 4,041, Jansuraj 7,996 votes
Bodhgaya – margin 881, Jansuraj 4,024 votes
Chanpatia – margin 602, Jansuraj 37,172 votes

Chanpatia became the biggest example

In Chanpatia, Jansuraj candidate Manish Kashyap secured 37,172 votes, while the NDA candidate lost the election by just 602 votes. This is the reason why this seat became the most discussed seat of the entire election.

Complete picture of Jansuraj in figures

Jansuraj Party contested elections on 238 seats, but could not convert any seat into victory. Naveen Kumar Singh stood second in Marhaura, but he had to face defeat from the RJD candidate by about 27 thousand votes. In all other areas, the party’s performance was mediocre and it could not reach above the third-fourth position.

The results of by-elections held for 243 assembly seats and 8 places in Bihar are...

The results of by-elections held for 243 assembly seats and 8 places in Bihar are being released today, Friday (14 November 2025). Counting of votes for 243 assembly seats of Bihar has started from 8 am. This time 66.9% voting was recorded across the state, which is the highest voting percentage since 1951. In such a situation, there is a question in the minds of people whether the voting on such a large scale has indicated that the people have made up their mind for change or have once again expressed confidence in the NDA government.

Today, counting centers have been prepared on a large scale to keep the environment safe and fair in the state for counting of votes. Special arrangements have been made in every district headquarters so that the counting process can be completed without any hindrance. This time the administration seems to be more cautious than ever regarding security and transparency. To ensure that there are no irregularities on the day of counting, the Election Commission has sent more than 70 counting observers to different districts of the state. These officials will monitor every counting activity and ensure that no step goes out of the rules.

Before the counting of votes, the EVMs and VVPAT machines were kept in the strong room, which was sealed in the presence of the candidates and their representatives. These rooms are monitored 24 hours by CCTV cameras and every activity happening inside and outside is recorded. Armed security forces are deployed all around, making the security of the strong room almost impenetrable. Instructions are also given that the process of opening the strong room will also be done in the presence of all the authorized representatives.

The counting of votes will start with postal ballot as usual. These include voting of government employees, security personnel on duty, senior citizens and disabled voters. Postal ballot envelopes are opened first and only after their counting is completed, they are moved towards the EVM.
Meanwhile, there are some VIP seats in Bihar, where it will be interesting to see who will win. The VIP seats on which everyone’s eyes are in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025 are: Raghunathpur (Osama Shahab), Raghopur (Tejashwi Yadav), Mahua (Tej Pratap Yadav), Tarapur (Samrat Chaudhary), Lakhisarai (Vijay Sinha), Alinagar (Maithili Thakur), Maner (Bhai Virendra), Mokama (Anant Singh), Danapur (Ritlal Yadav) and Subhash Singh from Gopalganj. JDU, RJD and BJP have fielded their candidates on these VIP seats.

Today’s vote counting will proceed in three phases, first the postal ballots will be counted. After this, the EVMs will be opened and the votes will be tallied and official results will start coming round by round. Although it will take time for official results to come out, initial trends will start emerging between 8:30–9:00 pm. This means that the direction of the results will become clear in just one hour.

In this election, both NDA and Grand Alliance have claimed victory during the entire campaign.
The exit polls that came after the voting for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 have created...

The exit polls that came after the voting for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 have created a tremendous stir in the politics of the state. This time the trend of results does not seem to be leaning towards any one side. While some surveys are giving a slight lead to the NDA, many agencies are telling the Grand Alliance (INDIA Bloc) to be near the threshold of power. Now the entire state is waiting for the results to come on 14th November.

The figures of news channels and survey agencies are very interesting this time. In some exit polls, the grand alliance led by Tejashwi Yadav seems to be reaching more than 130 seats, while the NDA is in the range of a little above 100. In other surveys, the contest is so close that both the alliances are seen almost equal on the majority line of 122 seats. Overall, according to the average data of four major survey agencies, the Grand Alliance is seen getting 120–130 seats, while the NDA is seen getting 110–120 seats.

TV live exit poll big relief for Tejashwi Yadav

The most talked about TV Live Exit Poll has given good news for the Grand Alliance this time. According to the survey, Grand Alliance may get 130 to 144 seats, while NDA is said to get between 95 to 109 seats. If this estimate proves correct then the return of Tejashwi Yadav to power in Bihar is considered almost certain.

Journo Mirror Survey: Public in mood for change

Journo Mirror Exit Poll figures also present almost the same picture. Here also the Grand Alliance looks strong on 130–140 seats, while the NDA is limited between 100–110 seats. This trend of two major agencies shows that the people of the state seem to be in a mood for change this time.

Opinion polls are evenly contested, suspense continues

Janmat exit poll has made the contest more interesting. In this survey, NDA has been shown between 113-125 seats and Grand Alliance between 111-123 seats. This situation shows that both the alliances are almost equal on the majority line of 122 seats. A small vote difference can completely change the direction of power.

News Pinch AI Survey Slight lead for NDA

News Pinch AI Politics Survey has made the election battle of Bihar more complicated. Here NDA is expected to get 121 seats and Grand Alliance is expected to get 119 seats. That means this is a photo-finish match, in which even minor changes can reverse the results.

Indication of repeat of situation like 2020

Political experts say that almost the same picture was seen in the year 2020 also. Even then the exit polls had given lead to the Grand Alliance, but in the final results NDA had formed the government with a very small margin. This time also the same suspense continues. Will history be repeated, or will change of power begin in Bihar?

Political activity intensifies before the results

Political turmoil has intensified in Patna, Darbhanga, Bhagalpur and Gaya. Strategic meetings are going on in the alliance offices and the candidates are in touch with supporters in their respective areas. Before the counting of votes, every party is claiming victory, but the real picture will become clear only on November 14.

Also read: Tejashwi finished ahead of Nitish Kumar, close contest, new exit poll data surprised

The political equation is becoming very interesting in all the exit polls and surveys released before Bihar Assembly elections 2025. While most of the surveys are showing the NDA’s lead, a survey has also emerged which has increased the political stir. Journo Mirror’s survey has shown the Grand Alliance (MGB) getting a clear majority.

Journo Mirror changed the equation

According to Journo Mirror, the Grand Alliance may get 130 to 140 seats this time, while the NDA is said to be limited to only 100 to 110 seats. This estimate is completely opposite to all other surveys. It has been claimed in this survey that this time the public is in the mood for change and a new equation can be formed in the state.

NDA ahead in remaining surveys

However, other major survey agencies like P-Marq, Peoples Pulse, DV Research, Matriz IANS, Chanakya, Poll Diary and Praja Poll Analytics have shown the NDA close to or above the majority. Among these, NDA has got an estimate of 130 to 209 seats, while the Grand Alliance is said to be limited to between 32 to 108 seats.

The second phase of Bihar Assembly elections 2025 is now just a few days away. After voting on 121 seats in the first phase, now on November 11, voters will decide the fate of 1302 candidates on 122 seats in 18 districts. Political parties have put all their strength into these seats and campaigning is at its peak.

In the second phase, voting will be held from the areas of Seemanchal bordering UP to the seats of Champaran belt and Mithilachal. In the first phase, Nitish Kumar and Jitan Ram Manjhi were tested on the credibility of NDA, whereas in the second phase, it is considered to be the real test of BJP. RJD and Congress have to prove their strength in the grand alliance, while it will be challenging for Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM to save its credibility in Seemanchal. In 2020, Owaisi surprised everyone by winning the seats of this phase.

Districts and seats for the second phase

In the second phase, voting will be held on 122 seats in 18 districts. The seats of Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Supaul, Purnia, Araria, Katihar and Kishanganj will be decisive for these regional voters. 21 seats of East and West Champaran belt of Champaran belt are also included in this phase.

The biggest challenge for NDA

In this phase, NDA’s challenge is the biggest, especially BJP is under pressure to save its seats. At the same time, Jitan Ram Manjhi and Chirag Paswan also have to prove themselves in their strong areas. For the grand alliance, RJD and Congress will try to show signs of returning to power. The Grand Alliance had 50 out of 66 seats on these seats in 2020, while BJP won 42 seats, JDU won 20 and MGP/Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party won four seats.

Owaisi and other regional parties

Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM has strengthened its influence by winning five seats in Seemanchal and this time too it is eyeing about 19 seats, where Muslim voters are more than 30%. Other parties like CPI-MALE, BSP and independent candidates are also participating in this election.

Political parties intensified campaigning

Political parties have intensified the campaign for this phase. The Grand Alliance has mainly focused on the seats of Seemanchal and Mithilanchal, while the NDA has shown its strength on the UP-Border and Champaran belt. The administration has also made special arrangements for security on the day of voting and to make the election process systematic.

Bihar Assembly elections 2025 are to be held at the end of this year and the results will decide which party will occupy the state’s power next five years. Two big surveys Lok Pol and S India have presented interesting results in heating up the electoral atmosphere. Both the survey shows a thorn competition between the NDA and the Grand Alliance, while Prashant Kishore’s party Jansuraj also seems to be successful in making its place among the voters.

According to the Lok Pol survey, the Grand Alliance can get 118 to 126 seats, while the NDA is estimated to get 105 to 114 seats. Other parties are expected to get 2 to 5 seats. 122 seats are necessary for the majority, and in this context, the grand alliance seems to be approaching the majority. In terms of vote share, the grand alliance is also seen at 39–42% and NDA 38–41%. Although the difference is low, the grand alliance may get an edge in the mathematics of seats.

Impact of Muslim voters on Purnia seats

The S India Survey has presented the area -wise picture. The grand alliance may get an edge due to the influence of Muslim voters in 24 seats of Purnia, while the NDA is expected to hold the hold. NDA can perform better than last time on 26 seats of Magadha, while the grand alliance may lag behind. The NDA is seen in a strong position in 22 seats in Bhojpur. Both major coalitions can benefit in 12 seats of Bhagalpur, but the impact of Jan Suraj is also gradually emerging.

Prashant Kishore’s Jan Suraj Party

Prashant Kishore’s Jan Suraj Party can prove to be a new factor in this election. Although the number of seats may be limited, the increase in vote share can affect the strategy of large parties. Overall, the Lok Pol survey shows the grand alliance further, while the S India survey tells the position of NDA better in some areas. It is clear that this time the election will be very hard and thorn. Every seat is important in the politics of Bihar and the performance of small parties can also affect the results.
