Relief news has emerged for lakhs of NEET UG students across the country. National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has given one more chance to the students for the process related to examination fee refund. Now candidates will be able to submit their bank account information till June 22, 2026. Earlier its last date was fixed as May 27.

This decision of NTA has brought great relief to those students who due to some reason could not update their bank details on time. The agency has clearly said that there are still many candidates who have not completed the refund process. For this reason the last date has been extended.

Refund case started after NEET exam

Actually, NEET UG 2026 exam was held on May 3 this year. NTA had started the facility of fee refund due to various problems and procedures after the examination. Under this, bank account information was asked from the students so that the refund amount could be sent directly to their account. NTA had earlier also issued notices in this regard on 12 May and 22 May 2026. After this, the portal was opened for students from May 22 to May 27, where they could submit their bank details.

13 lakh students filled information

According to NTA, till now about 13 lakh candidates have updated their bank account information. But there are still a large number of students who have not completed this process. The agency says that many students got the information late, while some could not complete the form due to technical problems. In such a situation, so that no student suffers any loss, the date has been extended by about a month.

Information once submitted will not be changed

NTA has also given an important warning to the students. The agency has clearly said that after submitting the bank account information, no changes will be made in it. That is, if students fill wrong account number, IFSC code or other bank details, then they will not get a chance to correct it later. Therefore, students have been advised to submit only after checking all the information carefully.

The portal will remain open till June 22

According to NTA, the facility to submit bank account information will now be available till 11:50 pm on June 22, 2026. The agency has clearly said that all eligible students should complete this process on time so that they can get their refund without any hassle.

How to submit bank details?

Candidates will have to login to the registration portal of NEET UG 2026. After login, you will have to fill the bank account information by clicking on the refund link. To provide correct information, students can also upload canceled checks if they wish.
