According to reports, students going to appear for the examination will be able to travel free of cost in ordinary class buses of the State Transport Corporation by showing their admit card. This facility will be available from two days before the exam till the exam date. Apart from this, after giving the examination, students will be able to avail the benefit of free travel till two days after the examination while returning from their examination center to their home or residence. The government believes that this will provide relief to students coming from far-flung areas from financial and travel related problems. Many candidates have to travel long distances to reach the examination centre, in such a situation this initiative can prove to be very helpful for them. This initiative of Uttarakhand government is being considered a big relief for thousands of students appearing in the examination.

Uproar regarding NEET

The NEET UG examination held this year was mired in controversies. Allegations of paper leaks and irregularities came to light after the examination held on May 3. After this the examination was canceled and the National Testing Agency decided to conduct the examination again on June 21. The case is currently being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Bus free in these states also

Not only Uttarakhand, but many other state governments have also taken special steps to provide relief to the students regarding NEET UG re-exam. Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had announced that on the day of the examination, candidates will be able to travel free in Delhi Transport Corporation buses. Odisha government has also decided to provide free bus service for NEET candidates on the instructions of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. Punjab government has also announced similar facility for students. According to the state government, candidates will be able to travel free in Punjab State Bus Stand Management Company Limited and Pepsu Road Transport Corporation buses between June 20 and June 22 through their admit card.

After the last paper leak controversy, the entire examination system has been redesigned. This time, along with increasing the security at the examination centres, the entire process from preparing the question paper to delivering it to the examination center has been kept under high security system. NTA has made many major changes for the NEET UG re-exam to be held on June 21.

For the first time, the Indian Air Force, Postal Department, Central Security Forces and local administration will jointly decide the security of the question. This time, the help of Indian Air Force will be taken to deliver the question paper to about 18 regional centers across the country. Air Force aircraft will transport the question papers to regional centers located in different states with special security arrangements. Government officials believe that with the use of Air Force, both the security and confidentiality of the question paper can be ensured. This will be the first time that the help of Indian Air Force is being taken at this level in a big examination like NEET.

How will the paper reach the examination center from the regional center?

When the question papers reach the 18 regional centres, the postal department will take over the responsibility of sending them to the examination centres. The postal department will deliver the question paper to the examination centers with special security arrangements. There will be a three-level security cordon during this entire process. In this, officials of Central Security Force, local police, district administration and NTA will continuously monitor.

Paper setters will be kept completely separate

This time, special attention is being kept on the experts related to the examination and the people preparing the paper. He will be kept under special surveillance till June 21 and contact with the outside world will be limited. Its purpose is to ensure that no information related to the question paper can reach out before the examination. Not only the security of the question paper but also the digital platforms will be monitored. NTA and other agencies will monitor social media, messaging apps and online platforms. If any fake question paper, wrong information or wrong activity comes to light, immediate action will be taken against it.

In how many cities will the exam be held?

NEET UG re-exam to be held on June 21 will be conducted in about 552 cities of the country and 14 cities abroad. The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. NTA is working on a new technical system, in which even the experts preparing the questions will not know for which exam they are preparing the questions. Under this, a big digital bank of thousands of questions on different subjects will be created. Later, with the help of technology, the final question paper will be prepared from these questions.
