The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big and tough step regarding the counseling process of NEET PG 2024-25. Now strict action will be taken against such candidates who did not enroll after getting the seat or left studies in the middle. The government has excluded 148 candidates from next year’s counseling. It is clear from this decision that now those who ruin the seats will not get any concession.

According to the government’s order, this time 59 candidates did not enroll despite getting a seat in the Strey Vacancy Round, while 89 candidates left their studies in the middle after taking admission. Acting on both types of candidates, they have been banned from counseling of 2025-26.

Rule of seizure of fees

The Medical Education Department has also made it clear that any candidates who do not take admission after getting the seat, the fees deposited will be confiscated. Not only this, they will not be able to be a part of the counseling process next year. This rule has been made so that no student leaves the seat and leaves it vacant and there is no loss of other qualified students.

Exercise to stop wastage of seats

Officials say that when a student does not take admission with a seat or leaves studies in the middle, there are many students who are waiting for the seat. In such a situation, many seats are wasted. The aim of the government is that every seat reaches the right candidate and no one’s future is spoiled.

An atmosphere of fear among students

After this strictness, there has been an atmosphere of fear among the candidates. Now students will think a hundred times before leaving the seat without reason, because by doing so, their future may be at stake. This step will make the candidates serious and responsible. Due to this, the seats of medical colleges will not remain vacant.

• Second round (round 2)
• Mop-up round
• Strey vacancy round

The remaining seats of each round are given in the next round. But now the new rule is that if a student has got a seat once and he did not enroll, then next year he will not have a place in counseling.
