There is big news for lakhs of students dreaming of studying medicine. National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important advisory for NEET UG 2026. It is clearly stated in this advisory that if the required documents of the candidates are not correct and updated, then they may be debarred from the examination. In such a situation, it is very important to correct all the important information before applying.

What did NTA say about Aadhaar card?

NTA has advised the candidates to first keep the information related to Aadhaar card correct. According to the agency, the candidate’s Aadhaar should be completely valid and updated. Name, date of birth, gender, photo, address and biometric details should be correct in Aadhaar. If any mistake is found in any of these information, then there may be problems in registration or admission in future.

Form may be rejected due to wrong information

NTA has made it clear that if any discrepancy is found in the information and documents filled in the application form, then the NEET UG 2026 form can be rejected. Candidates can update their information online by visiting uidai.gov.in or by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Seva Centre. By having correct information, there will be no problem at the time of document verification and counselling.

Special instructions for disabled candidates

Disabled candidates have been advised to use the UDID card only when it is valid and renewed. Using an old or expired UDID card may cause problems at the time of verification and the application may also get cancelled.

Important thing regarding category certificate

Students applying from reserved categories SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS will have to ensure that their category certificate is completely valid. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates should be issued as per the prescribed rules and within the prescribed date. It is important to keep all certificates updated before application.

When can the exam be held?

If we look at the trend of previous years, NEET UG exam is usually held in the month of May. On this basis, it is believed that NEET UG 2026 can also be held in May. However, the final date will be announced soon by NTA.
