RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has attacked Nitish government. Posting on Twitter on Saturday (January 31, 2026), Tejashwi Yadav said that instead of exposing the rape and murder of the NEET student, the Bihar government, by deciding to hand over the case to the CBI, has once again proved that the administrative structure of Bihar is corrupt, inefficient, inefficient and unprofessional which cannot solve even a rape and murder case. On the other hand, on the request of Bihar Chief Minister for CBI investigation in the case of death of NEET student, RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha said, “The situation is not good in Bihar today. Even character assassination was attempted in this incident. Now you are doing camouflage.”

Government’s intentions are clear: Vijay Kumar Sinha

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said, “The government’s intentions are clear. We tried to conduct an honest investigation. The victim’s family was not satisfied, so a decision was taken to get the matter investigated by the CBI. The government is ensuring that complete justice is provided.”

Whereas MP Pappu Yadav has said that the right step has been taken late but this matter should be immediately investigated under the supervision of the High Court. When people register their protest against the incident in Patna and Khagaria, the ineffective police lathi-charges the protesters and sends them to jail.
