At least 51 people, including an Indian citizen, died in the recently ‘Gen-Z’ demonstration against corruption in Nepal and the ban on social media forums. The police gave this information on Friday (September 12, 2025). Kathmandu Post Newspaper quoted Nepal Police co-owner Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Thapa as saying that the dead included an Indian citizen, three policemen and other Nepali citizens.

It was said in the news that at least 36 bodies are in Tribhuvan University Education Hospital in Maharajganj, where the postmortem started on Friday. Police said 17 bodies were recovered from different parts of the country on Thursday and Friday.

19 killed in firing on the first day

At least 19 people were killed in police firing during the demonstration on Monday (September 08, 2025) during the demonstration at Parliament House in Kathmandu, most of whom were students. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned on Tuesday (September 09, 2025).

Hundreds of protesters entered their office demanding their resignation to protest against the deaths of Mondays. The ban on social media in Nepal was lifted on Monday night. The violence continued even after Oli’s resignation and protesters set fire to Parliament, President’s Office, Prime Minister’s residence, government buildings, offices of political parties and homes of senior leaders.

1,700 people injured during demonstration

Meanwhile, several bodies were cremated at Aryaghat of Pashupatinath Temple near the banks of Bagmati river on Friday afternoon. According to the police, about 1,700 people have been injured during the demonstrations, out of which about 1,000 people have recovered and returned home.

Officials said that the Nepal Police Force is slowly starting its campaign in the Kathmandu Valley and the police stations and posts which were vandalized or set on fire, work is slowly starting.

Nepal is a very beautiful country situated in the foothills of the Himalayas. Usually people like to visit Nepal in search of natural beauty as well as relaxation, but these days the situation is not right. The day of Monday (September 8) and Tuesday (September 9) was very dreadful for Nepal. Crowds on the roads, fire in government buildings and smoke-dhunan Nepal. Alam was that the army had to hit the road. Meanwhile, I remember an anecdote of Nepal. When a controversy arose over a car in the royal family of Nepal.

The anecdote is from the year 2008, when there was a ruckus about a car found in a gift in the royal family of Nepal. It was not a normal car, but a Mercedes Benz car presented by German dictator Adolf Hitler. This car in olive-green color was quite discussed. Now understand what the whole matter was.

When Hitler gifted the king of Nepal

Actually Europe was badly affected during World War II. He was burning in the fire. Hitler had intensified efforts to strengthen foreign relations during this period. Hitler started giving gifts to the friendly countries. According to the report of ‘Reuters’, he had gifted the Mercedes-Benz car of the 1939 model to the then king of Nepal Tribhuvan Veer Vikram Shah Dev.

Why did Hitler gift the car to the king of Nepal

Hitler’s great selfishness was hidden behind gifting a car to the king of Nepal. Hitler Gorkha was well acquainted with the bravery and loyalty of the army. He himself was convinced of the fearlessness and strength of the Gorkha army. Actually Hitler wanted the Gorkha soldier not to support the British at any cost. For this reason, he sent a car thousands of kilometers away from Berlin.

How did the royal family controversy over the car

In 2008, the monarchy rule in Nepal ended and the republic was established. At the same time there was a dispute about the car. The royal family was divided into several pieces. This car became a symbol of dynasty’s identity as well as being a historical heritage. The dispute was about the future of the car. There were two questions in front of everyone, the first is whether the car should be kept in the museum Or a member of the royal family should be given like a private property. This was the main root of the dispute.

During the Gen-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-zi protests in Nepal, a video has surfaced from Pokhara, in which an Indian woman is seen pleading for help from the Modi government. The woman has claimed that the protesters set fire to the hotel where she was staying. At that time she was in a spa and later a crowd with sticks and sticks ran after them, which had to run to save her life.

In the video, the woman says that my name is Upasana Gill and I am sending this video to Prafulla Garg. I appeal to the Indian Embassy to help us. Whoever can help us, please help.

‘People were running after me with big sticks’
He further said that I am stuck here in Pokhara, Nepal. I came here to host a volleyball league and the hotel in which he stayed is burnt. All my belongings were in my room and the whole hotel caught fire. I was in the spa and people were running after me with big sticks, and I was able to escape with great difficulty.

‘Many people are trapped here with me’
According to Upasana Gill, the protesters did not spare tourists either. He told that the situation here is very bad. Roads are being set on fire everywhere. They do not care about whether there is a tourist or someone has come from work here. They are setting fire everywhere without thinking and the situation here has become very bad. We do not know how long we will stay in any other hotel, but I just request that this video, this message should be conveyed to the Indian Embassy. I request you all with folded hands, please help us. There are many people here with me and we are all stranded here.

Ministry of External Affairs released numbers
The Ministry of External Affairs has issued an advisory for Indian citizens, whose mainly Indian citizens have been advised to follow the local safety advice issued by Nepal officials and the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.
Many Indian and foreign tourists have been trapped in Kathmandu amid violent protests going on in Nepal. In view of the violence, citizens have requested help from the Indian Embassy. He said that the situation here is very tense and we are very scared.

An Indian tourist trapped after violent protests in Nepal said in a conversation with IANS, ‘We contacted the Indian Embassy to get out of here. He advised us to stay in his hotel. The situation here is very tense and we are very scared.

Another citizen said, ‘The situation in Nepal is very bad. Incidents of stone pelting and arson are also being seen. I came with my friends to visit Nepal on 8 September. After the situation deteriorated here, he contacted the Indian embassy and he has asked to stay in a safe place.

An Indian tourist said, ‘I came to visit Nepal with friends, but after we arrived, curfew was imposed. Now the situation has increased a lot. The sooner we can get out of here, the better. We have to face problems for eating and drinking here.

A German tourist trapped in Kathmandu expressed deep concern over the situation in Kathmandu amid violent demonstrations and curfew in Nepal. The German tourist said, ‘The situation is very bad. Yesterday I saw a lot of smoke rising from hotels. They were burning and innocent people are dying here. This is very sad. I wish that the situation will be normal soon.

Meanwhile, the Government of India has advised its citizens to postpone the journey to Nepal till the situation is normal and those who are already there should stay in homes and follow the local administration guidelines.

The Pashupatinath temple, one of the holiest religious places in Nepal, has been closed for visitors on Wednesday due to increasing violent demonstrations. The Nepal army has been deployed to ensure the safety of the temple premises and maintain peace. According to official sources, at least 22 people died and more than 500 people were injured in clashes between protesters and security forces on Monday.

Amid the ongoing protests in Nepal, a young protestor named Subhash made a statement regarding Jane-Z in an interview to ANI. He said that Jane-Z wants freedom from corruption. We want change, so we are performing. We wanted to beat him (former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli), but he has gone somewhere. He has left the country and fled. We caught all the politicians. We burnt the house of Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife Arzu Deuba. ,

Subhash further said that we demand a good leader. We want to talk to the President. We will know today what is going to happen. The violent protests we saw for the last two days will not happen now, but we want a new rule and law in the country.
