Jane ji protests in India’s neighboring country Nepal have affected the country very badly. Meanwhile, a large number of Nepali citizens returning to the Rupaidiha border of the Indo-Nepal border reacted to the current situation. Meanwhile, Khem Bahadur, a resident of Palpa, gave his views. He said that the condition of Nepal has become so bad that people have now started thinking that if the British had made Nepal with India and made a slave, the country would have been ahead today. According to him, at least trains, roads and employment facilities were there.

In a statement to the private channel, Khem Bahadur said that after the arrival of democracy, people had great expectations. The public was thinking that there will be development in the country now, but the leaders developed themselves instead of the public. The means of employment are almost negligible and the common people have been left on their own. They believe that if Nepal’s leadership was honest and visionary, then the situation would not have been so bad.

View on Jane-G movement
The recent Jane-G movement in Nepal brought a big change in both politics and society. Khem Bahadur believes that this movement was necessary because the public’s anger had become very deep, but he condemned arson and sabotage in government buildings during the movement. He says that these buildings will be rebuilt from the public’s pocket i.e. tax, so this kind of violence is not correct.

Why is compared to India
Many citizens of Nepal compare with India. The reason for this is that during the British rule, rail, road and administrative structure were prepared in India. Today the same basis is taking India forward towards economic and technological development. No such structure could be created in Nepal and political instability worsened the situation.

Hope for future
Many citizens like Khem Bahadur believe that whatever government will be formed after the movement, it will have to pay attention to the good of the people. Basic facilities like employment, road, education and health will have to be given priority. If the leadership still does not learn a lesson, then the country can go into a deeper crisis.

Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is famous for its beauty. However, due to the recent protests, the number of tourists can be seen to be reduced significantly. Despite this, if we talk about Kathmandu, especially, then there is a place here, which is very close to India. There is a place in Kathmandu, which is known by the name of Delhi Bazaar. It is a major trading area of the city. A historical story is connected behind its name. In olden times, when there was a business exchange between India and Nepal, traders from Delhi and North India settled in Kathmandu. These traders built their shops and hideouts in this area. Gradually, the local people started calling this place a market of Delhi and the same name remained forever.

The importance of Delhi market is not limited to the name only. It is also a symbol of India-Nepal’s long-standing business relations. The Delhi market had a big role in the old trade routes. Through here, there was movement of goods to Delhi, Raxaul and many other cities of India. Traders and shopkeepers from North India settled here and gave the area a commercial identity. Due to this, Delhi market became a testimony to the cultural and commercial connection of Nepal-India.

Cultural importance
The Delhi market still shows a glimpse of India-Nepal’s mail. This area is always festive and full of Indian look. Indian goods, clothes and decorative items are sold in shops here. This area of Kathmandu is considered a major commercial center, where thousands of people come to shop every day.

Example of Indo-Nepal relations
Delhi market is not just a market, but it is an example of shared cultural heritage of both countries. This area reminds that the relationship between India and Nepal has been deep and strong for centuries.

The violence erupted after the Gen-Z movement in Nepal has calmed down. Things are returning to track on different parts of the country including Kathmandu. The exercise to form an interim government is fast. The sequence of meetings continued till late night at the residence of President Ramchandra Paudel, but the picture has not been cleared till now. It is being said that many people including Gen-Z, Balen Shah and Kulaman Ghizing in the name of Sushila Karki have agreed, even Army Chief Ashok Raj Sigdel has agreed, but then why is the announcement of Sushila Karki’s name being delayed?

From Kathmandu to other parts of Nepal, when violence erupted during the Gen-Z movement and KP Sharma Oli resigned as Prime Minister, the protesters were considering Kathmandu Mayor and rapper Balen Shah as their leader. At that time it seemed that Balen Shah would be the head of the interim government. However, later the agitators also rescued the former deputy minister Rabi Lamichna in corruption jail, then their name also joined the race. After this, the names of Kulman Ghising and Sudan Gurung also came up, but gradually everyone withdrew their names. Balen Shah openly supported Sushila Karki.

Why not announce the name of Sushila Karki?

The Army Chief also assured them during the meeting with the Gen-Z protesters that they will tell the interim government, but in the meantime it has come to light that Nepal’s President Ramchandra Paudel Paudel Sushila is not in favor of making Sushila Karki an interim Prime Minister. He has insisted that any solution to the crisis should be discovered within the structure of the existing constitution. His attitude is supported by major parties including Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), Maoist and Madesh-based groups.

Why the screw on Sushila Karki?

At this time there is a situation of confrontation between the Army Chief and the President in Nepal. While the Army Chief wants the demand of the agitators to be considered, the President is citing the Constitution. Actually, the Constitution of Nepal says that a retired judge should not hold a political or constitutional post. Since Sushila Karki has been the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nepal. For this reason, President Paudel is repeatedly calling for the Constitution.

Who is Sushila Karki?

Sushila Karki has been the first Chief Justice of Nepal. He graduated from Mahendra Morang College and then received a Masters degree in Political Science from Banaras Hindu University. After this, he received a law degree from Tribhuvan University in Nepal. Sushila Karki started practicing in 1979. In 2007, he was made Senior Advocate. In 2009, he was made a Advocate Judge of the Nepal Supreme Court and in 2010, a permanent judge was made. He served as the Chief Justice of Nepal from 11 July 2016 to 6 June 2017.

While being the chief Justice of Sushila Karki, he took strict steps against corruption. He gave many important decisions, including citizenship, scam in police appointments, establishment of fast track court and other cases related to corruption. Sushila Karki was so active that political parties saw a crisis in it. In 2017, the political parties of Nepal moved a motion of impeachment against him in Parliament, against which the people of Nepal became and then the proposal was withdrawn.

What is Sushila’s attitude regarding India?

Sushila Karki is in favor of strengthening the relations between Nepal and India. She believes and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is doing a good job. Recently, he praised PM Modi and said that there is a good impression for Modi ji in my mind. He also said that the relationship between India and Nepal is very old and deep. He told that relatives and friends are also connected between the two countries. Karki made it clear that there is a slight knock in the middle, but the relationship remains strong.

Before the official Instagram account of the Royal Family of Nepal, King Gyanendra B. B. Shah has expressed his condolences on the recent violence. He said that whatever happened is very sad and painful. He expressed deep condolences to the families of those who died in this incident.

Gyanendra Shah said in clear terms that strict action should be taken against those who are responsible for this condemnable incident and no convict should be spared against them. In his message, he also recalled the courage and contribution of Jean ji (the person martyred during the performance). He said that the courage with which Jean ji raised his voice against injustice and corruption is commendable and the country should always respect for his efforts.

Former king gave this message to the youth

The former king inspired the youth and said, “O Veer, do not talk about retreat. If you want to get mother (Janani), then Nepal will have to be found.” This message of him is being considered a big statement in view of the current situation in Nepal and the increasing dissatisfaction among the public. The root of violence in Nepal is corruption and deteriorating economy.

Why did people get angry in Nepal?

The situation in Nepal became more tense when the government banned 26 social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and YouTube. Angry with this decision, the youth started the movement in the name of Gen-Z revolution from 8 September. Gradually, this protest became so fast that the situation went out of the government’s control. In the end, Prime Minister KP Oli Sharma resigned and had to leave the country and flee.

Consent in the name of Sushila Karki

In Nepal’s politics, the stir has intensified about the new government. The name of Sushila Karki has been agreed and its information has been given to the speaker of Parliament. Earlier, President Ramchandra Paudel had met party leaders to create political consent. He spoke to the Maoist Center President Pushpakamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ after consulting legal experts. Apart from this, he also spoke on the phone to Congress Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Gagan Thapa and Vishwaprakash Sharma.

The Zen-Z rebellion in Nepal has caused havoc everywhere. The government was sleeping comfortably by banning social media, they did not know that the peace in which they are sleeping is peace before the storm. Then the youth attacked against the government and the condition became that the protesters blew up the Supreme Court, Parliament House, Media House and even Rashtrapati Bhavan. Now in such a situation, a video is becoming increasingly viral on the Internet, in which a protester is standing outside the burning Parliament House and making a reel dancing.

Protesters are seen making a reel by dancing to Parliament by setting fire to Parliament

In fact, a video is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which a demonstrator of Nepal is seen standing outside the burning Parliament and making a reel in a cool style. It does not matter to him that the building which is set on fire by the professionals is the Parliament of the country. The protesters want to show clearly that they have got happiness by doing all this and they have been successful in their thoughtful work. From the way the person dances in the video, it is known that no regret is left.

Gen Z made reel after burning Parliament ..

See brother, if you have overturned the coup to do all this, then the government was correct,

We are already upset with the reel singing the dances of the people here, now the reel of Nepalis will also have to be seen ..

And what is this stupid dance? pic.twitter.com/fmahtiqnbk

This was the whole matter, so violence erupted

Let us tell you that the government had recently banned 26 social media and messaging apps. It was argued that these companies did not follow rules like opening, registration and preparing Grievens Mechanism in Nepal. Interestingly, tickets and some small apps completed this process, but veteran platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and YouTube could not do this.

Users gave reactions

The video has been shared with an ex account named @Taza_Tamacha, which has been seen by millions of people so far, while many people have also liked the video. In such a situation, social media users are giving various reactions about videos. One user wrote… There are all kinds of people here, these are the same people who seek opportunities in disaster. Another user wrote … He succeeded in his cause, so he is dancing. So there is another user wrote … setting fire to the Parliament of the country and is dancing shameless.

Whatever happened in Nepal recently, he caught the attention of the entire South Asia. The government order to ban social media websites provoked the anger of the youth (GEN-Z). Gen-Z calls them, who use social media platforms to raise their voice on digital platforms and connect with the global world. Such people were considering the decision of the government as an attack on freedom of expression. The effect of the movement was that the protesters burnt the Parliament House. Due to this, the government is expected to lose crores. It was engaged in US $ 43.5 million to make it. Apart from this, there are many such projects, which are running in Nepal from other countries. Those projects will also see the impact of the performance. The disadvantage of GEN-Z’s violent performance can directly be seen on Nepal’s economy.

The effect of protests in Nepal was that the government withdrew the decision to ban social media, but by then it was late. This was not just a technical issue. It was a dissatisfaction in the mind for decades, which suddenly burst. People were saying that social media ban is just an excuse, the real reason is the long -running corruption, political instability and unemployment. The situation worsened when the security forces tried to scare the protesters. At least 22 people died in the violence. After this, Prime Minister KP Oli had to resign from his post.

The roots of instability in Nepal’s politics
The political history of Nepal has been full of upheaval. In 1951, when the country moved towards democracy from the monarchy, it was expected that stability would come, but after that the monarchy captured power several times and weakened democratic institutions. The Maoist rebellion in the 1990s completely changed Nepal’s politics. The monarchy ended in 2006 and the Maoists emerged as the biggest political force in 2008, but they also failed to give a permanent and strong rule. Since 2008, no party in Nepal could achieve majority. In the current Parliament, the outgoing Prime Minister Oli’s party also had only 78 seats out of 285. This scattered politics made governance weak and gave an opportunity to deepen corruption.

Poverty decreased, but with the help of migrants
Despite political instability, Nepal has achieved shocking success in poverty alleviation sector. In 1995, where 55 percent of the people were below the international poverty line ($ 2.15 per day), it declined to just 0.4 per cent by 2023. However, this success has come from domestic economic development, but from the earnings and remittances of migrants. Today, about 30 percent of Nepal’s GDP is dependent on the amount coming from abroad. Some member works abroad from every fourth house. That is, a large part of Nepali society today is based on the economies of other countries of the world. This is the reason why anger increased from social media ban. This was not only an attempt to stop the voice of the younger generation, but a cheaper means was also taken away to connect with family members working abroad.

Nepal’s economy depends on migrants

The World Bank divides the economy of Nepal into three stages, which is as follows:

Conflict period (1996–2006): A round of Maoist rebellion.

Conflict period (2007-2014): Attempts for political reorganization.

Repeated shocks (2015-2023): Earthquake, epidemic and political crisis.

In all these phases, Nepal’s economy has performed poorly compared to its neighboring countries. High Remittans Flow strengthened foreign currency, but this negatively affected exports. When the migrants come back, they find it difficult to reside in the domestic economy again. The result of this is that Nepal’s economy may look stable, but it is hollow from within. It is like a mine that can burst at any time and Jane Z protests are a sign of the same.

Amid the ongoing protests in Nepal, a young protestor named Subhash made a statement regarding Jane-Z in an interview to ANI. He said that Jane-Z wants freedom from corruption. We want change, so we are performing. We wanted to beat him (former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli), but he has gone somewhere. He has left the country and fled. We caught all the politicians. We burnt the house of Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife Arzu Deuba. ,

Subhash further said that we demand a good leader. We want to talk to the President. We will know today what is going to happen. The violent protests we saw for the last two days will not happen now, but we want a new rule and law in the country.

Army personnel on Nepal’s streets
According to the PTI report, the army personnel were deployed in Kathmandu and other cities to implement the order of ban and restore peace from the morning of Wednesday (10 September 2025), a day after anti -government violent demonstrations in Nepal. P. Sharma Oli has had to resign from the post of Prime Minister. The Nepali army, who commanded the security operations of the entire country at 10 pm on Tuesday night, has imposed ban in many areas across the country including Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur cities to control the unrest even hours after Oli left the post.

Protesters burnt ministers’ houses
The army expressed concern over the actions of some groups in a statement, “He said,” Those who are taking unfair advantage of difficult situations and causing serious harm to ordinary citizens and public property. ” His soldiers have been deployed against him. “An official associated with the case said that the authorities have also issued an order to the residents that they should stay indoors until they do not have very important work, so that further disturbance can be prevented. Since morning, Kathmandu’s generally moving roads looked deserted. Only a few people came out of the houses and that too especially to buy things of everyday needed. There is a strong patrolling of security personnel on the roads and on Tuesday, the protesters were put up in government and private buildings. Fire brigade were seen to extinguish the fire. The protesters on Tuesday set fire to Parliament, President’s Office, Prime Minister’s residence, government buildings, offices of political parties and homes of senior leaders.

Nepal is currently facing the biggest and fierce mass movement of decades. Protests led by ‘Jane Z’ protesters against corruption, nepotism and social media ban have taken violent form. There is arson and sabotage in the capital Kathmandu and other cities. This movement has become especially a symbol of the anger of the youth, who had been angry with political corruption and inequalities for a long time.
The most shocking moment of this movement came when the protesters attacked Nepal’s Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba. In the video, he can be seen wiping blood from his face. Angry mob entered his residence and kicked him. The protesters also recorded a video of the incident and put it on social media.

PM Oli resigns
Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned amid violence and demonstrations. After banning social media, the demonstrations became even more fierce. The government had banned 26 unregistered platforms, including Facebook, YouTube and X. Despite the removal of the ban, the movement is not taking the name of stopping. With the resignation of Prime Minister Oli, Nepal’s political situation has become more unstable.

Death and injured number increased
So far 21 people have died in the ongoing demonstration in Nepal. More than 300 people are said to be injured. The situation is the worst in the capital Kathmandu, where even the minister is not safe. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel was attacked by angry protesters. In a video, a protestor kicks them and dropped them, causing their balance to deteriorate and they collided with the wall.

Inequalities increased public anger
In a poor country like Nepal, where per capita income is only $ 1,400 per year, the luxurious property and luxury lifestyle of politicians and their children created anger in the public’s mind. The youth accused the leaders that they are having fun in the poverty of the public. As a result, the movement gradually took the form of anti-corruption public revolution.
