Before the formation of the new government in Bihar, the efforts to get a place in the cabinet have intensified among the constituent parties of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). According to sources, both BJP and JD(U) are considering including some new faces in the cabinet. Along with this, the share of existing ministers will also be maintained almost intact.

Five to six new faces from JD(U) can be included in the cabinet. State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha, elected from Mahnar seat, is also likely to get a place in the new team of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will submit his resignation to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on November 19 and will take oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time.

Some new faces may join Bihar cabinet

Sources said JD(U) may retain most of its ministers, while BJP may induct some new faces. 24 out of 25 ministers of the previous cabinet were successful in winning the elections this time, while Sumit Kumar Singh could not save his seat. Sumit Kumar Singh won as an independent candidate in 2020 and later became a minister from JD(U) quota.

These colleagues of Chirag may get a chance in the board

Apart from JD(U) and BJP, Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLMO) will also join the new government. According to sources, LJP is likely to get three ministerial posts and HAM and RLMO are likely to get one ministerial post each. Maximum 16 ministers from BJP and 14 ministers from JD(U) can take oath on November 20.

JD(U) leaders Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Shravan Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Lacey Singh, Sheela Mandal, Madan Sahni, Ratnesh Sada, Mohammad Jama Khan, Jayant Raj, Umesh Singh Kushwaha and Ashok Chaudhary are being considered for inclusion in the cabinet. Among the new faces are Rahul Kumar Singh, Sudhanshu Shekhar, Kaladhar Prasad Mandal and Panna Lal Singh Patel.

Current ministers of BJP may get another chance

Most of the sitting ministers from BJP may get a second chance. These include Samrat Chaudhary, Prem Kumar, Mangal Pandey, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Nitish Mishra, Renu Devi, Jibesh Kumar, Neeraj Kumar Singh, Janak Ram, Hari Sahni, Kedar Prasad Gupta, Surendra Mehta, Santosh Kumar Singh and Sunil Kumar. Among the new faces, Rana Randhir, Gayatri Devi and Vijay Kumar Khemka are likely to get a place in the cabinet.

These NDA leaders will attend the swearing in ceremony

The historic Gandhi Maidan has been closed for the general public till November 20 for the swearing-in ceremony. The administration has made extensive security arrangements. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and many senior NDA leaders can attend the ceremony. Along with this exercise, it will be important to decide the political equation and balance of constituent parties in the new government of Bihar.

Also read- Nitish Kumar is necessary and also compulsion! BJP currently has only 4 options in Bihar

NDA has got a landslide victory in Bihar Assembly elections (2025). Now a new government...

NDA has got a landslide victory in Bihar Assembly elections (2025). Now a new government has to be formed. On Monday (November 17, 2025), Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a cabinet meeting. In this the proposal to dissolve the cabinet was passed. After this he met Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. However, Nitish Kumar has not resigned yet.

Preparations for swearing in begin at Gandhi Maidan

JDU leader Vijay Kumar Choudhary told the media regarding this that the cabinet has recommended dissolution of the present assembly from November 19. This has been conveyed to the Governor through the Chief Minister. On the other hand, preparations for the swearing-in ceremony have started at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also come to this function. The date of swearing in has been revealed as 20th November. The thing that is being discussed the most about the new government is who from which party will be made the minister?

A total of 36 ministers can be made in Bihar. According to the victory this time, 13 ministers each can be made from JDU and BJP. Three ministers can be made from Chirag Paswan’s party, one from Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM and one from Upendra Kushwaha’s party RLM. This time many names may be shocking.

Discussion of these names including Nitin Naveen from BJP

If we talk about BJP quota among potential ministers, the names of Samrat Chaudhary, Nitin Naveen, Mangal Pandey, Hari Sahni are in the race. It is also discussed that if Vijay Kumar Sinha is not made a minister then he can be made the Speaker of the Assembly. Among the new candidates, Ramkripal Yadav, who won from Danapur, can also be made a minister. The name of Sanjeev Chaurasia, who won from Digha seat, is also in the race.

Jitan Ram Manjhi’s son Santosh Suman may get ministerial post from his party. Upendra Kushwaha’s wife can become a minister from Rashtriya Lok Morcha. Three MLAs from Chirag’s party can become ministers. Party’s state president Raju Tiwari, party’s principal general secretary Sanjay Paswan and Sanjay Singh, who won from Mahua assembly, can be made ministers.

Who can become minister from JDU?

Talking about Nitish Kumar’s party JDU, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Ashok Chaudhary, Leshi Singh, Madan Sahni, Jayant Raj and Sunil Kumar can become ministers again. Shyam Rajak may get a chance among the new faces. Jama Khan can be made Minority Minister. Because he is the only Muslim MLA in NDA who has won from Chenari seat.

Also read- Jitan Ram Manjhi said- ‘PM Modi will also participate in the swearing-in’, gave a big statement regarding the post of minister

A new government is going to be formed in Bihar. Its preparation has started. Meanwhile, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said that the oath taking ceremony will take place on the 20th. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also participate in it. We have also been asked to participate.

Manjhi said that 35-36 ministers will be made, out of which 15-16 ministers will be from BJP, 13-14 ministers will be from JDU, 3 from LJP and one minister each from us and Upendra Kushwaha’s party. Giving a big statement regarding the post of minister, he said that there is no greed in our party, we are happy with whatever we get.

‘The public expressed confidence in Modi and Nitish’

Jitan Ram Manjhi said, “We have got more seats than we thought. We had thought that we would win 160 to 180 seats, but we have won more than 200 seats. The people of Bihar have expressed confidence in Modi ji and Nitish ji. We had got less seats, it is true, we had said that we should have got more seats for the status of a national party, that was our logic.”

What did you say on the dispute in Lalu family?

On the other hand, on the dispute between Rohini Acharya and Lalu family, Manjhi said, “This is very wrong, what Tejashwi has done is a matter of investigation. We have already been saying that what he says should not be influenced by his words. First of all, he expelled the elder brother from the house, now he is doing this with the sister.
In the Bihar Assembly elections 2005, NDA got a landslide victory and the Grand Alliance...

In the Bihar Assembly elections 2005, NDA got a landslide victory and the Grand Alliance suffered a crushing defeat. This time, Lok Jan Shakti Party (Ram Vilas Paswan) has also got unprecedented success in Bihar. Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s party has emerged as the fourth largest party in Bihar and the third largest party in NDA. This has taken Chirag’s popularity very high in Bihar. In such a situation, speculations are being made as to what role Chirag Paswan is going to play in the Bihar government this time.

While talking to a channel regarding this matter, senior journalist Vijay Vidrohi said that I think that if BJP becomes the Chief Minister of Bihar this time, then he will make Chirag Paswan the Deputy CM. He further said that the reason for this is that Chirag Paswan is the leader of Dalits and Nitish Kumar’s JDU also has Dalit vote bank. In such a situation, under the pretext of Chirag, BJP would like to bring JDU’s Dalit vote bank into BJP’s fold.

Why will BJP make Chirag Deputy CM?
The senior journalist told that in Bihar it was Nitish Kumar who had converted the Dalit castes into Mahadalit, but he had left out the Paswan caste. In such a situation, according to the long term plan, BJP can move in this direction. He also said that Chirag Paswan is still young, so how far will he go in central politics, in such a situation, if he succeeds in becoming the Deputy CM of Bihar this time, then after 5 years he will emerge as a strong contender for the post of Chief Minister.

How many seats did Chirag demand?
He told that Nitish Kumar wanted that Chirag Paswan’s party should not get more than 13-14 seats, but Chirag remained adamant on 35 seats and finally LJP (R) contested on 28 seats. Chirag Paswan has got big success this time.
