Karnataka News: Karnataka government has approved the new policy for women employees. Under this, female government employees aged 18 to 52 years will get one day paid menstrual leave every month. This means that a total of 12 days leave can be taken in a year.

The government says that this step has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of women employees and their well-being at the workplace. This policy will be applicable to all permanent, contractual and outsourced women employees of the state. Women employees can avail this leave without any medical certificate. This will be recorded separately in the attendance or leave register. This holiday cannot be combined with any other holiday.

Government’s new decision after petition

This decision came after a petition by the Bangalore Hotel Association, which said that the menstrual leave policy made earlier was discriminatory as it did not include government employees.

More than 1.5 lakh women employees benefited

After the implementation of the new order, more than 1.5 lakh women government employees of the state will get the benefit of this special holiday. This facility will also be applicable to contract employees. Labor Minister Santosh Lad said that this decision will promote the health and mental strength of women.

No medical certificate required for leave

According to the new instructions of the government:

Medical certificate is not necessary to take menstrual leave.

This holiday cannot be combined with any other holiday.

It will be necessary to keep separate records of menstrual leave in offices.

Why did the demand arise?

In the petition of the association, it was said that most of the jobs of women in the state are in government departments, hence it is wrong to keep them out of the scope of this holiday. After this argument in the court, the government issued this new order.

Bcci new policy: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made a...

Bcci new policy: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made a big change in the daily allowance policy of employees of its various departments. In an important meeting held on 14 June, the board has decided to cut the allowances of employees working during the domestic tournament and big cricket events, which has been released by the new guidelines. Under this, now limited amount will be given to BCCI employees every day as allowance.

Money was not received from January, now the amount fixed

The BCCI had not given a daily allowance to any employee since January 2025. Now the board has cleared the domestic tournament allowance policy. Under this new policy, employees will be paid daily from Rs 10,000 to 15,000 daily. Under this amount, earlier employees used to get more money in some cases, but now according to the new policy, the daily payment of 7500 has been removed.

A BCCI source told PTI that after the tax was deducted to the employees Around Rs 6,500 per day will be given. This policy will provide relief to the employees of the board’s financial and media departments who have worked in this year’s IPL (Indian Premier League) and Women’s Premier League (WPL) but they were not yet paid.

Employees of IPL and Women’s Premier (WPL) League will benefit

The staff who travels during tournaments like IPL or WPL will also be given their remaining amount according to this new policy. If an employee travels for a full 70 -day IPL, then that employee will get about Rs 7 lakh per day at Rs 10,000 per day, but if an employee has traveled a few days of the tournament, then he will be given 60% allowance. At the same time, the staff which has not gone on the journey at all in the tournament will be given only 40% allowance. All this calculation will be decided at 70 days.

Change also made in travel policy

Till now, according to the travel policy of BCCI, employees used to get Rs 15,000 every day for four days travel and if the tournament is long, such as IPL or WPL, then this amount was reduced to Rs 10,000 per day. Along with this, he was also given a fixed allowance of Rs 7,500. Now BCCI has completely removed this fix allowance. That is, now the employees will get only daily allowance.

How much is you available on a foreign tour?

If BCCI employees go on a foreign tour, they get US $ 300 daily. At the same time, senior officers of the board like Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and Joint Secretary are given a daily allowance of US $ 1000 per day for traveling abroad. If these officers go to a day meeting inside India, then they get Rs 40,000 per day and Rs 30,000 per day on a long tour.
