LPG Cylinder Rate Today on May 11: Even today, government petroleum companies like IOC, HPCL and BPCL have kept the prices of gas cylinders stable across the country.

On the first of May, while on one hand the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder was increased by Rs 993, on the other hand the price of five kg small cylinder was increased by Rs 261. However, amid all this, there was no increase in the price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder. In the last one year it has increased by only Rs 60.

Bumper boom in six years

Commercial cylinder containing 19 kg LPG gas is also known as Halwai cylinder. Big restaurants and street side food vendors also use it. Six years ago, i.e. in May 2020, its price in Delhi was Rs 1144.50, which has directly increased to Rs 3071.50 in May 2026. That means the price has increased by Rs 1927 in just six years. This inflation has broken the back of businessmen.

PM Modi’s appeal to the public

During a program in Hyderabad on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the people of the country to exercise restraint in fuel consumption. Since India is largely dependent on fuel imports, there is a need to use petroleum products wisely amid the ongoing crisis in West Asia.

The global energy crisis is deepening due to the ongoing war between Iran and America and increasing tension in West Asia. The blockade of the Strait of Hormuz has adversely affected the supply of crude oil, due to which India’s import bill may increase. By proper use of fuel, we can save foreign exchange, which is necessary to keep the country’s economy stable.
