Its starting price starts at ₹10.49 lakh, making it a perfect balance between budget and premium. The new Duster has a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, which generates power of 163 PS, making it the most powerful SUV in its segment.

One reason for this is considered to be its coupe-style and crossover-like design, which does not give a complete SUV-like feel to many Indian customers. The Mini Duster can be introduced with a different, more upright, boxy and strong SUV look, which will be reminiscent of the old Duster.

What is expected regarding design and engine?

• According to reports, a powerful and upright design will be seen in Mini Duster. It can be given bigger wheels, stronger body cladding and better road presence. As an engine, it can be given the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol HR10 engine found in Kiger, which is likely to be offered with manual and CVT gearbox. At present, the name and complete information of this SUV has not been revealed.

Launch timeline and segments

• The Mini Duster will be launched after Renault’s upcoming 7-seater Duster derivative. In such a situation, its possible launch is being considered around 2027 or 2028. The compact SUV segment is the fastest growing segment in India, where right pricing and strong design play a big role.
