The government says that many times people claim that they did not receive the challan information, which leads to delay in payment. What will vehicle owners have to do?

The most important thing in this system is that the vehicle owners will have to keep their mobile number and email ID correct and updated. This information is linked to the Vehicle Registration System (VAHAN). If someone has not updated his number then he cannot get the challan information on time. Therefore, the government has advised vehicle owners to update their details immediately so that any kind of problem can be avoided.

Another major objective of this decision is to strengthen the enforcement of traffic rules. Many times people delay in paying the fine due to not getting the challan information on time, due to which the fine may increase further or even legal action may be taken.
