Targeting central government over Waqf law

AIMIM leader Akbaruddin said, “A Muslim cannot go to the Hindu board, but a Hindu can come to the Waqf Board. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had to show this secularism. If my father has given some land property for my upcoming children, it is mine, but they want everyone to go according to them. Tomorrow will give you a house. If you give you a house, then you will not run home.”

‘If we are scrapped in the name of beef, we will fight’

He said, “According to the ASI, there are only Eid prayers in many mosques. There are not many paper, there is not many in many. Mecca is also a waqf by user. You are trying to snatch all this from us. In the issue of Ram Janmabhoomi, Muslims confessed to the court’s decision, but Muslims have been the destiny of this country and the Muslims will always be a fight, but we will always be a fight, but we will be a fight of this country, but we will always be a battle of this country, but we will always fight this country. Demonstrated on Waqf law

A large number of people led by All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) demonstrated the revised Waqf Act 2025. During this time, people protested by wearing black arm in their hands. Akbaruddin Owaisi also participated in this protest.

New waqf act: President Draupadi Murmu has also approved it after the Waqf Amendment Bill passed from both houses of Parliament. Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 has now become a law. This new law has been challenged by the Congress, AIMIM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Supreme Court with different petitions. Many Muslim organizations are also protesting against it in different states of the country. According to the central government, this law is not anti -Muslim and its purpose is to prevent bias, misuse of Waqf properties.

How many votes were the Parliament in both houses?

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) had also sought an immediate meeting with President Draupadi Murmu to express its concern on this law. There were 288 votes in favor of the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha and 232 votes in the opposition. At the same time, there were 128 votes in favor of the bill in Rajya Sabha and 95 votes in opposition. All the amendments brought by the opposition in the Rajya Sabha fell from the sound.

AIMPLB warns of movement

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has warned of a nationwide agitation on Saturday (5 April 2025) in protest against this bill. AIMPLB will protest extensively in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Vijayawada, Malappuram, Patna, Ranchi, Malerkotla and Lucknow. Congress Rajya Sabha MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, ‘The ruling party has misused the majority and the bill has been forcibly imposed.

The government says that this law will benefit Muslim women and ensure transparency in the management of Waqf properties. A fine of the Waqf Amendment Bill was opposed by Naveen Patnaik’s party Biju Janata Dal (BJD). However, after discussion on the bill, the BJD asked its MPs to vote independently.
