The State Health Society (SHS) of the Government of Bihar has issued a notification for a total of 4500 posts of Community Health Officer (CHO) under the National Health Mission (NHM). Under this recruitment process, qualified candidates will be appointed in various health and wellness centers of the state.

The online application process for this recruitment will start from 5 May 2025 and the last date has been fixed on 26 May 2025. Interested candidates will be able to fill the application form by visiting the official website of SHS Bihar. Applications will be accepted only through online medium.

Essential educational qualification
Candidates applying for CHO posts must have B.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with Community Health (CCH) Certificate. Or the candidate has completed the GNM course and has a CCH certificate.

Age limit
According to the notification, the candidate should have at least 21 years and maximum age should be 42 years. Reserved classes will be given a relaxation in age limit as per rules.

Application fee will have to be paid so much
Candidates applying for this recruitment will have to pay the application fee. The fee for General/EWS/BC/EBC category has been kept at Rs 500. While the fee for SC/ST/PWBD/women candidates is only Rs 250.
