‘Border 2’, the sequel to the 1997 classic cult film ‘Border’, is ready for release. The film is going to be released in theaters on 23 January 2026. Meanwhile, a debate has erupted on social media regarding Border vs ‘Border 2’. In such a situation, ‘Border 2’ producer and ‘Border’ producer’s daughter Nidhi Dutta has reacted to these speculations. Nidhi has made it clear that her father JP Dutta had created a masterpiece like ‘Border’ years ago, whose record no one can break.

Actually, a user shared a clip of ‘Border’ on social media and wrote – Will Border 2 be successful in breaking the record of Border? yes or no? Nidhi Dutta has shared this post on her Instagram story and replied to it in the caption.

‘No one can break that record’
While sharing the post, Nidhi Dutta wrote in the caption – ‘Our aim was never to break the border record. No one can break that record. My father had created a masterpiece. But he made that film to tell the stories of our soldiers and Border 2 is going to do the same! This is important! Telling the stories of our soldiers.

‘Both are a tribute to our armed forces’
Apart from this, Nidhi has also given her opinion in the comment section of this clip. He wrote- ‘This film has not been made to break the record of my father’s masterpiece Border! It has been made for the same purpose for which the first film was made. To tell the stories of our soldiers! This is what we need to focus on! Both that film and this film are a tribute to our armed forces.
