Shah rukh khan new venture: Radico Khaitan Limited, a famous wine-making company like 8 PM Whiskey, has announced partnership with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan’s Licker Company D’yavol luxury collector and Jerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath. All of them are going to launch D’yavol Spirits by targeting India’s premium alcohol market.

In the coming months, the company will launch its product with luxury tequila, which will be sold in India as well as abroad. Through this partnership, Radico Khaitan will get the benefit of Shah Rukh Khan’s stardom and Kamath’s business skills.

Company has been running since 1943

Abhishek Khaitan, managing director of Radico Khaitan, says, “We are going to start a new bold chapter with D’Avol Spirits.” He said that this is the long term investment, which is necessary for the growth of the company. Radico Khaitan is a very old liquor making company in India. It started in 1943.

Earlier it was known as Rampur distillery. Lalit Khaitan’s father GN Khaitan bought it in the 1970s. In 1998, the company launched PM whiskey. The company has a long experience of blending, marketing and distribution. The company operates three distillery with a 321 million liter capacity and its products are sold in more than 100 countries. The purpose of this partnership is to occupy the country’s premium Spirit segment as alcohol consumer in India is now turning to quality compared to the traditional product.

Lalit Khaitan is the chairman and managing director of Radico Khaitan. He is about 80 years old. While his son Abhishek Khaitan is the managing director of the company.

Zerodha’s co-founder Nikhil Kamat is placed in the category of ‘Trailblazers’. He signed “GIVING PLEDGE” at the age of 36 and was one of the youngest philanthropists in India. Kamat has invested several million dollars in many projects related to environment and education.

He also started “Young India Philantropic Pledge (YIPP)”, which appeals to India’s millionaires under 45 years of age to donate at least 25 percent of his assets.
