The year 2025 is now at its last stage and this year too, engineering institutes were the most talked about among students and parents regarding education. Every year lakhs of students dream of getting admission in the best engineering colleges of the country. In such a situation, it becomes very important to know which engineering institutes of the country remained at the forefront this year.

In the last months, NIRF Ranking 2025 was released by the Ministry of Education, in which the list of top engineering colleges of the country was revealed. This ranking is prepared keeping in mind many important aspects like quality of education, research, experience of teachers, better future of students and placement. This time too the dominance of the renowned institutions of the country was seen.

IIT Madras again becomes number one

IIT Madras once again won the NIRF Ranking 2025. This institute has got the first position in the engineering category. IIT Madras got an excellent score of 88.72. Which shows that this institute is at the forefront in terms of education, research and innovation. For the last several years, IIT Madras has remained at the top continuously and this identity will continue in 2025 also.

Who is in second and third place?

IIT Delhi stood second, which maintained its strong hold with a score of 85.74. After this, IIT Bombay stood at third place, which got 83.65 marks. Both these institutions have been among the most trusted and preferred engineering colleges in the country for a long time. Students studied from here are working in big companies in the country and abroad.

Presence of Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal

IIT Kanpur was at fourth place. IIT Kanpur got 81.82 marks. At the fifth position was IIT Kharagpur, which is located in West Bengal and is one of the oldest IITs in the country. This institute is also known for research and technical education.

These institutions included in top-10

IIT Roorkee stood at sixth place, which got a score of 75.44. After this, IIT Hyderabad was at seventh place and IIT Guwahati was at eighth place. This year, IIT Hyderabad has moved up one place and overtaken IIT Guwahati, which is considered to be an important change in this ranking.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli stood at the ninth position, while IIT (BHU) Varanasi stood at the tenth position. The special thing is that the inclusion of one NIT along with IIT in the top-10 shows that other institutions are also progressing rapidly.

All the countries in the world give special importance to education because everyone knows that only an educated citizen builds a country and creates the future of the country. All over the world, education is considered the foundation of developed countries and that is why different nations create a huge network of schools and colleges at their own level. However, an interesting question always remains in discussion, after all, which country has the highest number of schools and colleges in the world? And where does India rank in this list?

India’s population and education needs

India comes seventh in the world and number 1 in the world in terms of population. According to the survey, 46.9% of the total population of India is below 25 years of age, which makes India a young country. With such a large population receiving education, is the network or number of educational institutions in our country big enough to provide education to such a huge population?

Highest educational institute in India

You will be proud to know that India has the largest number of educational institutions (schools, colleges, universities) in the world. After India comes the United States and China. It is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records that the number of secondary schools in India is the highest in the whole world, where 139,539 educational institutions are available for children or students from class 9th to 12th, which shows that India is completely aware of education.

Total number of schools in India

There are approximately 15 lakh schools in India, which include schools at all levels of primary, upper primary, secondary and higher secondary, which are providing education to the vast population of India.

Higher education institutions of India

India also has a large number of institutions of higher education (colleges and universities) that are responsible for the future of India’s students, among which IITs, IIMs, NITs and IISC Bengaluru are elite and known throughout the world for their quality of education. There are more than 12,700 higher education institutions in the country, including more than 4,000 recognized universities. In some sources this number is also stated to be 5,000 to 8,000 universities.

America’s educational institutions

The number of higher educational institutions in the United States is approximately 4000, but according to the 2023 24 report, the number of higher educational institutions in America, which include higher degrees like Bachelor’s Degree and sometimes Master’s and Doctorate (PhD), is approximately 5,819. America is the first choice of every student in the world for higher education. There are world famous educational institutions here, which include world famous universities like Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Princeton, Yale, Columbia.

China’s higher educational institutions

China ranks third in the world in the number of higher educational institutions. According to China’s Ministry of Education, there are 3,117 universities, colleges and other institutions of higher education, including 1,308 universities and colleges and 1,560 vocational and technical colleges, including major educational institutions such as Tsinghua University and Peking University.

 Nit Topper Laid off: & nbsp; A post on the Internet has created a lot of stir, which mentioned an unnecessary withdrawal from an annual job of Rs 43 lakh to a NIT topper. The user who shared this post also told that the person extracted from the job has been given only three months of services package. & Nbsp;

The founder of Thyrocare warns & nbsp;

Commenting on this tweet, Dr. A., founder of Thyrocare. Valumani said that this is no less than a warning for engineering students who wish to get a good salary job. He warned that companies offering attractive CTCs participating in campus placements have many hidden objectives. His primary agenda is usually increasing his financial record for the next three to five years instead of investing in long -term Employee growth. & Nbsp;

Youth falling victim to false expectations

He further explained, these companies attract youth with better compensation package. As soon as a candidate becomes a financial dependent- that is, on the basis of its salary, the month starts taking the weight of EMI, then the company leaves, so that the person feels insecure and gets stuck without any stability and support. In this way youth are victims of false expectations. & Nbsp;

Beware. Majority of Companies Coming to Campus Interviews and Offer Unrealistic CTC are looking for boosting 3 to 5 yrs financial statements. Once the Candidate Builds Up His Full EMI, they leave you on roads. They play havocs in life & rsquo; s of innocent individuals. All that & hellip; pic.twitter.com/if6pdrfj5m

How will the house expenses now run? & Nbsp;

In the case of NIT topper being removed from the job, it was a matter of relief that there was no home loan burden on him. However, despite this, the challenges are not less because there are many more expenses. In such a situation, the savings package from savings and previous company is confident. & Nbsp;
