Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi attended it as the chief guest. While addressing the people, she once again commented on the hijab controversy.

Jitan Ram Manjhi said, “Nitish Kumar believes in us wholeheartedly and we also believe in him wholeheartedly. Just a small thing came up… When we were distributing the doctor’s appointment letter, there was a daughter in hijab, so he (Nitish Kumar) pulled down the hijab a little and asked why the daughter is covering her face, you are going to become a doctor… For this, people all over the world are saying that her hijab was pulled, if no one had the courage then Jitan Ram Manjhi has said that he So, he has a daughter and a daughter-in-law… he is 74 years old and if he explains to his daughter, then what is the big deal?”

Claimed to save Nitish from time to time

The Union Minister further said on this, “… So it is worth saying that we give so much protection to Nitish Kumar and the family of the person whose hijab was pulled has also agreed… Her guru has also agreed… This should not be given importance… What a big deal is this… So what it means to say is that from time to time we definitely try to save Nitish Kumar.”
