Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan has expressed his views on many issues. When he was asked why Nitish Kumar is the CM even after BJP has more seats in Bihar? On this question, Chirag Paswan said that the next five years are very important for Bihar. He considers it as the golden era. Chirag said that in the next five years you will see the changes in Bihar which we were probably expecting in two decades. That land is being prepared in two decades.

Chief Minister has experience – Chirag Paswan

The Union Minister said, “I believe that it is important for the next five to have the experience that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has.” Bihar is not an easy state. In Bihar it is important that you come with that experience. You will be able to take advantage of the double engine only when you have experience.

What did Chirag Paswan say on Nitish Kumar’s health?

Regarding the health of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, he said, “I agree that there are rumours. When you are unable to blame someone on their policies, then you start making personal attacks. The same thing happened with me when my party broke up. Personal attacks started being made that he is arrogant and arrogant. The same happened with the Chief Minister also. I believe that today we have benefited from the activeness of the Chief Minister.

Why didn’t Chirag contest Bihar elections?

Union Minister Chirag Paswan, while talking to ‘Aaj Tak’, said, “There was a delay in seat sharing. I did not have that time to prepare for my elections. The reason for my coming into politics is Bihar and Biharis. I want to stay in Bihar in an active role. Position is not important, it is important to be a part of the system. I don’t think at all that I will go to Bihar only after becoming the Chief Minister. With this thought that I should become a part of the system even after becoming an MLA, I said that I will contest the 2030 assembly elections.

What did you say about Tejashwi Yadav?

Regarding Tejashwi Yadav, Chirag said, “You still have not been able to free yourself from the image of Jungle Raj.” You still talk about MY equation which includes casteism and communalism. I too have MY equation but in my equation M is female and Y is youth. I talk about them. RJD was eliminated from Bihar in 2010 itself. He got the support of Nitish Kumar in 2015, hence he got the lease of life. I was the ‘culprit’ in 2020, because of me they (RJD) got a lease of life.”

After the change of power in Bihar, Nitish Kumar has once again taken oath as the Chief Minister. This is his 10th term, but this time the form of the government is not at all the same as before. While JDU was a big ally of NDA for years, now the picture has reversed. BJP has emerged as the most influential party in this new equation.

BJP has got fourteen ministerial posts in the new cabinet, while JDU is limited to only 8. Political analysts say that this situation clearly shows that BJP put forward its conditions strongly in government formation and Nitish Kumar had to accept them.

BJP’s hold on two Deputy CMs and Speaker

BJP has got two big achievements in the new NDA government, two Deputy Chief Ministers and the post of Assembly Speaker. Earlier it was being said that Nitish Kumar was not in favor of making two Deputy Chief Ministers, but BJP maintained its strategy and succeeded in making both Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha as Deputy CMs. The post of Speaker is also in BJP’s account, which will further strengthen the party’s hold on the Assembly.

BJP made minister list on the basis of social equation

BJP kept social balance at the center while selecting its ministers. Especially the Luvkush class and the advanced community were given a prominent role. For this reason, Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha got top posts. Along with this, the leaders who have got a place in the cabinet include Mangal Pandey, Nitin Nabin, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Rama Nishad, Lakhendra Paswan, Narayan Prasad, Shreyasi Singh and Pramod Kumar Chandravanshi. Apart from this, Ramkripal Yadav and Dilip Jaiswal have also been given place in the cabinet.

Nitish Mishra was not seen in the cabinet this time

Former Industry Minister Nitish Mishra did not get a ministerial post this time, even though his victory margin was more than in 2020 and it was believed that he would become a minister again. There was a lot of discussion in political circles due to his name not being in the final list.

Colleagues also got shares, but sons got the chair

NDA’s allies have also been given a place in the new cabinet. Chirag Paswan’s LJP (R) has got two ministerial posts. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hum Party has been given one place and RLM’s Upendra Kushwaha has also been given a ministerial post. The interesting thing is that both Manjhi and Kushwaha have given place to their sons in the cabinet. Santosh Suman, son of Jitan Ram Manjhi and Deepak Prakash, son of Upendra Kushwaha have become ministers this time.

Also read: Who is the one who became a minister in Nitish cabinet without contesting elections? Who made the big setting?

NDA alliance has won a bumper victory in Bihar Assembly elections 2025. Along with this, NDA is going to form a coalition government in Bihar. On this special occasion, JDU leader Nitish Kumar is going to take oath as CM on Thursday (20 November 2025) at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Everyone’s eyes are fixed on Nitish Kumar. He will take oath as CM for the 10th time, which is a record in itself. Nitish Kumar, who has been in power continuously since 2005, has seen many political ups and downs in two decades, changed alliances, changed governments, but did not leave the chair.

In the meeting of the legislature party of the NDA alliance, he was unanimously elected leader on Wednesday (19 November 2025), after which he will once again become the CM of Bihar. Nitish Kumar’s journey to the post of CM, which started from March 2000, has now completed almost 19 years and 93 days. During this period, Jitan Ram Manjhi was the Chief Minister only once from May 2014 to February 2015, the rest of the time the command of Bihar remained in the hands of Nitish. However, the thing to note is that if Nitish Kumar completes his tenure once again, then he can hold the record of being the Chief Minister of the country for the longest period. However, he already holds the record of being the Chief Minister of Bihar for the longest period. Behind him are only Shri Krishna Singh, Rabri Devi, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Jagannath Mishra.

Grand swearing in ceremony at Gandhi Maidan

Another term of Nitish Kumar is going to start, which will strengthen his political power once again. A grand swearing-in ceremony is going to be held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Thursday, in which Chief Ministers of many states including Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present. Two Deputy Chief Ministers and about 20 ministers can take oath along with Nitish Kumar. In the recently held assembly elections, BJP won 89 seats and JDU won 85 seats, giving a big victory to NDA. In this assembly elections, RJD got only 25 seats, Congress got 6 and AIMIM got 5 seats.

Longest serving Chief Minister in the country – will Nitish become number 1?

If Nitish Kumar completes his new term, he can reach the top position in the list of leaders who have been Chief Minister for the longest time in the country. The current record is as follows:

India’s longest tenured Chief Minister

Pawan Kumar Chamling (Sikkim) – 24 years 165 days

Naveen Patnaik (Odisha) – 24 years 99 days

Jyoti Basu (West Bengal) – 23 years 137 days

Gegong Apang (Arunachal) – 22 years 250 days

Lal Thanhawla (Mizoram) – 22 years 60 days

Virbhadra Singh (Himachal) – 21 years 13 days

Manik Sarkar (Tripura) – 19 years 363 days

Nitish Kumar (Bihar) – 19 years 93 days

If the next five years pass without any interruption, this record will definitely be in the name of Nitish Kumar.

Prashant kishor on nitish kumar: Prashant Kishore, the founder and former electoral strategist of the Janasuraj Party, has made a big prediction about Nitish Kumar. He said that Nitish Kumar will not be the Chief Minister of Bihar after this year’s election. PK claimed that more than 60 percent of people in Bihar want change.

Prashant Kishore has also said to give this in writing. He said, ‘In the next two months, it will be decided who will vote for more than 60 percent people who want to change. Will they again vote for those who have disappointed them first? Will they trust them? Or will they choose a new option? Somehow, Nitish Kumar will definitely not be the Chief Minister after November (when assembly elections are expected). I can give you this in writing. Bihar will get a new Chief Minister.

Does PM Modi and Amit Shah not know Nitish Kumar’s condition?- PK

In NDTV interview, when PK was asked what was given to you so much confidence, he pointed to Nitish Kumar’s ‘mental and physical condition’. He said, ‘The whole of Bihar knows that Nitish Kumar’s mental and physical condition is not such that he can do something. A person who is sitting on the stage and forgets the name of the Prime Minister sitting next to him; The national anthem does not know whether it is the national anthem or qawwali… which did not address the media in a year. A person who is not in a position to take care of himself. How will he take care of Bihar? So, if you and I know this, do not Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah know? ‘

Why did BJP keep Nitish as CM? Prashant Kishore told

Janasuraj founder said, ‘Despite this, they have put them in the front and center so that they can continue this system till the minimum elections and then a new Chief Minister can come. You may ask why they are not removing them right now, and the answer is that BJP has no preparation or confidence to contest elections in Bihar nor has it done so in the past. Therefore, since they have to fight someone, they are carrying the burden of Nitish Kumar.

If this does not happen, I will leave politics- PK

Prashant Kishore insisted, ‘You can write it and keep it. JDU is going to get less than 25 seats on its own. If this does not happen, I will leave politics. After the election, the existence of JDU will come under question. The rating that accepts Nitish Kumar has come down from 60% to 16-17%. JDU does not have any cadre. It had only Nitish Kumar and now he is no longer.
