Nokia, once a large share in the market of mobile phones, is looking for partners for manufacturing her phones. The Finland company has an international licensing agreement with HMD Global. HMD also has its own phone division. It started marketing from last year under its branding of Nokia devices.

Nokia is considering the sale of smartphones with its brand. One on reddit Post In Nokia’s community manager, has asked the big manufacturers of mobiles to contact through the company’s website who wants to partnership with them. This is indicating that the company is considering the sale of smartphones with its branding. Nokia’s 10 -year licensing agreement with HMD Global is ending next year. However, it may be that this agreement is renewed.

HMD Global was started in 2016 by former Nokia Executives. Their purpose was to make Nokia’s brand re -popularized. For this, HMD signed a 10 -year licensing agreement for manufacturing and marketing of Nokia’s phones. Nokia’s phones were sold under Lumia branding by American tech company Microsoft for some periods. In February last year, HMD Global decided to launch Android smartphones with its branding. It removed Nokia’s branding from its smartphones and limited it to some feature phones.

Next year, Nokia will be allowed to sell his license to another mobile manufacturer, which can marketing and distribute smartphones with its branding. However, Nokia or HMD Global has not informed what their plans are after the agreement ends next year. Nokia had said in its annual report two years ago that its sales have declined but its patents are in a better position than the licensing agreement. Because of this, licensing in terms of patents and technologies is important for the company.

The number of subscribers of telecom companies has increased rapidly in the last few years in the country. However, India in the world is one of the few countries where there is not much tariff for telecommunication services. This situation may change soon. Large telecom companies like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel can re -increase tariffs by the end of this year.

A media Report In the international brokerage firm Bernstein, it has been quoted as saying that telecom companies can increase tariffs by 10-20 percent this year. This may be a fourth increase in tariffs in the last six years. In July last year, telecom companies raised tariffs by 25 percent. This was a major reason behind this to strengthen the 4G network and the capital needs of telecom companies for expansion of 5G networks. Recently, Bernsstein had forecast strong growth in Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel’s revenue. Along with the increase in the number of subscribers of these two companies, there has been growth in the user (ARPU) on the average revenue.

However, the financial condition of Vodafone Idea (VI) is poor. Recently, the central government increased its stake in VI from 22.6 percent to 48.99 percent. This is indicating that the government wants to maintain the structure of three companies in the telecom market. The caller name presentation (CNAP) feature is set to introduce the incoming calls of telecom companies.

This feature will require modern network infrastructure. Because of this, this feature will be available only on 4G and 5G smartphones. Reliance Jio, the country’s largest telecom company, will use its CNAP technology for this. Bharti Airtel has tied up from Nokia to provide CNAP features to its subscribers. After the commencement of this feature, telecom subscribers will be less needed by Truecaller such as third-party collar identification apps. The CNAP will be shown with the name of the subscriber present in the telecom company’s database. However, it is not known when this feature will be launched for subscribers. Under the new rules of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), a penalty can be imposed on telecom companies if failed to stop spam. <!--

In the last few years, the problem of calls related to spam and fraud on mobile has increased. For incoming calls of telecom companies to deal with this problem, the caller name presentation (CNAP) feature is ready to be presented. The Telecom Department (DOT) has directed large telecom companies to complete the inter-operator trial of this feature by Friday.

A media report states that this feature will require modern network infrastructure.

Under the new rules of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), a penalty will be imposed on telecom companies if failed to stop spam. However, telecom companies say that these rules will not solve some apprehensions. Recently, Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), an organization of private telecom companies, said, “A wide attitude is needed to deal with this problem effectively.” Penalty on telecom companies is not a solution. This will not solve the major issue of preventing unwanted commercial communications. If there is a need to apply such a penalty, then it should not be put on telecom companies, but those who make spam calls and messages.

Under the new TRAI rules, a penalty will be imposed on telecom companies giving wrong reports of spam calls and messages. Along with this, TRAI has also made it mandatory for all telecom companies to analyze calls and SMS based on high number of calls, short duration of calls and low ratios of outgoing calls from incoming calls. This will allow spammers to be identified soon. The provision of graded penalty was implemented by amending the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR). <!--

Bharti Airtel, one of the big telecom companies, has given Nokia and Qualcomm a contract to improve its 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) and Wifi solutions. Under this contract, Manufacturing will be done in the country according to the ‘Make in India’ mission of Nokia’s 5G FWA and Wi-Fi 6 access points of Finland.

However, the value of this contract has not been reported. This will increase the availability of broadband in areas where fiber connectivity is not limited or available. Bharti Airtel will be supplied to Nokia its 5G FWA outdoor gateway receiver and Wi-Fi 6 access points. These devices will use the modem-RF and Wi-Fi 6 chipset of Qualcomm.

Bharti Airtel is preparing to increase the coverage of its 5G network. The company plans to increase coverage to meet the increasing demand for data. Along with this, Bharti Airtel has also decided not to make new investment in 4G network. Recently, the company’s managing director, Gopal Vittal, said, “The expansion of 5G coverage is going on as per the plan. We had a 5G base of 12 million subscribers at the end of the last quarter. The share of 5G smartphones in the total shipments of the smartphone has increased to more than 80 percent. We are benefiting from this.” He had said that Bharti Airtel’s capital experience has decreased in the current financial year. In the last quarter, the company has installed about 5,200 towers and about 16,300 mobile broadband stations to increase its network and improve the experience of customers.

Recently Bharti Enterprises reported that it is ready to start the satellite telecom service. For this service, approval is being awaited by the Central Government. Billionaire Elon Musk’s company Starlink has also sought permission from the government for launching satatelight internet service. “We are waiting for spectrum allocation. Our two stations are ready in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. We will launch this service after getting permission.”
<!--
