JEE Main Session 2 Result : A big update has come out for the students who have appeared for JEE Main Session 2 exam. According to the information, the wait of the students may end soon. The result of JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Paper 1 can be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 20 April 2026. NTA will soon release it on its official website. jeemain.nta.nic.in Will release on.

In such a situation, the students who have given both the sessions will be considered to have the best score. Also, this time also the normalization system will be applicable, so that the level of different shifts can be balanced. In such a situation, let us know what the category wise cut-off of JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result can be.

What is normalization system?

JEE Main exam is conducted in different shifts, in which the level of questions may be slightly different. Therefore NTA adopts normalization process. In this process, students with difficult shifts are given some advantage. The score is balanced against easy shifts.

Where and how to check JEE Main 2026 result?

After the release of the result, students will be able to easily see it online. For this visit the official website of NTA jeemain.nta.nic.in Will have to be used. To check the result first visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in Go to. Click on JEE Main Session 2 Paper 1 Result 2026 link on the homepage. Now enter your application number and password. After login, your scorecard will appear on the screen. Download it and keep it safe for future.

What will be the information in JEE Main scorecard?

The JEE Main scorecard contains many important information related to the student, such as their name, roll number and application number, as well as parents’ names and state code. In this, the marks and percentile of each subject are visible separately, along with the total score and total percentile also. Apart from this, All India Rank (AIR), Category Rank and whether one has qualified for JEE Advanced or not is also written. Therefore, students are advised to check all the information given in the scorecard carefully. So that no mistake or wrong information remains.

When was JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam held?

This time JEE Main Session 2 exam was held from April 2 to April 8, 2026. The examination was completely computer based (CBT Mode). About 11.23 lakh students took part in this examination. JEE Main exam is conducted in different shifts, in which the level of questions may be slightly different. Therefore NTA adopts normalization process. In this process, students with difficult shifts are given some advantage. The score is balanced against easy shifts.

How much can be the category wise cut-off?

The expected cut-off of JEE Main 2026 is the minimum percentile after crossing which students are considered eligible for JEE Advanced and JoSAA counselling. Looking at the pattern of previous years, this time too it is estimated that the cut-off for General category may be around 93 to 95 percentile, while for GEN-EWS it may be around 80 to 82, for OBC 79 to 81, for SC 61 to 64 and for ST category it may be around 48 to 50 percentile. Whereas for PwD category it is likely to be around 0.001 to 1.0 percentile. However, all these figures are only approximate and the actual cut-off will be decided only after the release of the result.
