Kanakdas is one of the major poets of the Bhakti movement, who gave the message of love, equality and devotion in the society. His birth anniversary is celebrated every year on 8th November in his memory.

When is the next holiday?

There are no other holidays this month after today. Now the next holiday will be on 1st December because on this day State Foundation Day and Indigenous Faith Day will be celebrated in some selected places like Itanagar and Kohima respectively. Apart from this, according to the holiday list of RBI, banks will remain closed in many different states between November 5 and 9. However, there will be no bank holiday across the country simultaneously. Along with being closed on all Sundays, banks will also remain closed on 22nd November, which is the fourth Saturday of the month.

During bank closure, people can take help of online or mobile banking and complete tasks like bill payment, money transfer etc. ATMs are also open 24 hours so there is no problem of cash. Apart from this, funds can also be transferred through NEFT/RTGS transfer form, demand draft request form and check book form. Bank Holidays in November 2025: The holidays of Dussehra, Dhanteras, Diwali are over, the month of October has also passed. Now it is the turn of November. Banks will remain closed for a total of 11 days this month, which also includes holidays on Sunday, second and fourth Saturday. November 1st – All government and private banks in Karnataka will remain closed on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava. On this day in 1956, the state of Karnataka was formed by combining all the Kannada-speaking areas of South India. On this day, all the banks will also remain closed in Dehradun because Igas-Bagwal will be celebrated here, which is also known as Budhi Diwali.

5 November – On this day, banks will remain closed in Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla and Srinagar due to festivals like Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima and Rahas Purnima.

6 November – Banks will remain closed in Shillong on this day on the occasion of Nongkrem dance.

7 November – All banks in Shillong will remain closed on this day also on the occasion of Wangala Utsav.

8 November – Banks will remain closed in Bengaluru on the occasion of Kanakdas Jayanti. This day is dedicated to poet and social reformer Shri Kanakdas.

11th November- There will be a bank holiday in Sikkim due to Lhabab Duchene. This is a special day in Buddhism.

Weekly off in November

Banks will remain closed everywhere in the country on 2 November (Sunday), 8 November (second Saturday), 9 November (Sunday).

There will also be bank holidays on 16th November (Sunday), 22nd November (fourth Saturday).

23 November (Sunday) and 30 November (Sunday)
