Stock Market Today: The second trading session of the week in the Indian stock market on Tuesday, November 4, started the trading day flat. BSE Sensex opened on green mark and NSE Nifty opened on red mark. However, both the major benchmark indices turned red shortly after the start of trading. The 30-share BSE Sensex index started the trading day at 84,000.64, up 22.15 points or 0.03 per cent. Whereas NSE Nifty 50 opened trading with a red mark at 25,744.75 with a fall of 18.60 points or 0.07 percent.

By 9:25 pm, the Sensex was trading at 84,009, up 30 points. Whereas Nifty 50 was trading at 25,738 with a fall of 24 points. 9 shares from BSE basket were trading in the green. A decline was seen in 21 shares.

How was the market on Monday?

The first trading session of the week, on Monday, November 3, saw a rise in the Indian stock market and both the major benchmark indices closed trading in the green. The Sensex ended the trading day at 83,978.49 with a rise of 39.78 points or 0.05 percent, while the NSE Nifty 50 ended the trading day at 25,763.35 with a rise of 41.25 points or 0.16 percent.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Eternal, SBIN, Sun Pharma and Bharti Airtel were the top gainers from the BSE basket. Talking about the top losers, there were Maruti, ITC, TCS and NTPC. Nifty Smallcap, Nifty Midcap, Nifty Bank, Nifty 100 and Nifty Auto closed trading in the green. At the same time, there was a decline in the shares of Nifty FMCG and Nifty IT. On Monday’s trading day, 16 shares from the BSE basket closed in the green and 14 shares recorded a decline.

The 30-share BSE Sensex index started the trading day at 84,750.90, down 246.23 points or 0.29 per cent. At the same time, NSE Nifty 50 also opened trading in the red at 25,984.40 with a decline of 69.50 points or 0.27 percent.

By 9:25 pm, the Sensex was trading at 84,742, down 254 points. Whereas Nifty 50 was trading at 25,987 with a fall of 66 points.

How was the market on Wednesday?

On Wednesday, October 29, the third trading session of the week, there was a tremendous rise in the Indian stock market and both the major indices closed trading on the green mark. The Sensex ended the trading day at 84,997.13 with a rise of 368.97 points or 0.44 percent, while the NSE Nifty 50 ended the trading day at 26,053.90 with a rise of 117.70 points or 0.45 percent.

Adaniport, NTPC, PowerGrid, HCLTech and Tata Steel were the top gainers from the BSE basket. Talking about the top losers, Eternal, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Finance and Maruti were. Nifty FMCG, Nifty IT, Nifty Smallcap, Nifty Midcap, Nifty Bank, Nifty 100 closed with a rise. A decline was seen in the shares of Nifty Auto. On Wednesday’s trading day, 9 shares from BSE basket closed in the red and 21 shares registered a rise.

Stock Market Fall: A huge fall is being seen in the Indian stock market on Friday, 24 October. At around 3:10 pm, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading 294 points down at 84,261, while the NSE Nifty was also trading in the red at 25,798, down 92 points. Only 8 shares were showing rise from BSE basket, while 22 shares were trading with red mark.

There was a rise in the Indian stock market in the last few days. Even today the stock market had started with a green mark. However, it slipped after some time and turned red. Market experts believe that the reason behind this decline is selling and profit booking by foreign investors.

Why is the market falling?

1. There was a tremendous surge in the Indian stock market in the last few days. Investors had benefited from this boom. However, on Friday, the last trading day of the week, the stock market turned red due to profit booking. There was a decline in the stock market due to heavy selling of shares of Banking, Financial Services, IT, FMCG and Auto. Investors are booking profits by selling shares.

2. Foreign institutional investors sold shares on Thursday’s trading day. Due to which the process of buying by foreign investors which had been going on for 5 consecutive sessions came to a halt. According to the released data, foreign investors sold shares worth about Rs 1,165.94 crore. Due to which there was a huge decline in the stock market.

3. India VIX rose by almost 1 percent to reach 11.84, reflecting the ongoing turmoil in the market and the nature of investors. Due to which there are indications of fluctuations in the market in the coming days. Due to this also investors did not trust the stock market and withdrew their money.
