After the NEET paper leak, NEET re-exam was organized on 21 June 2026. National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the process of fee refund for all such candidates. For this, students will have to confirm or update the bank account information. This facility has been made available on the official portal of NTA. The last date to update or confirm bank details is 30 June 2026 till 11:55 pm.

If the bank account information you have already given is correct, then you just have to confirm it by going to your login. If the bank account has changed or there is a mistake in the information given earlier, then the new bank account number and IFSC code will have to be given. Along with this, a copy of canceled check or passbook will also be uploaded.

NTA has also given relief to those candidates who had chosen the option of ‘No Refund’ at the time of application. Now such candidates can also change their choice and apply for fee refund. This means that even if you had earlier chosen not to take a refund, you still have a chance to change your decision.

This facility was given

Keeping in mind the security of the students, this time the facility of OTP based two-factor authentication (2FA) has been provided on the portal. During login, OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number of the candidates. Bank details can be updated or confirmed only after entering the OTP.

NTA has also clearly warned the candidates to exercise utmost caution while filling the bank account number and IFSC code. A small mistake can cause difficulty in getting refund. Therefore, before submitting the form, double-check all the information. The agency has also said that NTA never asks candidates for OTP, password or other information by phone, SMS or e-mail.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reached the National Testing Agency (NTA) headquarters on Tuesday and reviewed the preparations for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam. This examination is to be conducted on 21st June. During the review meeting, he discussed various aspects related to the arrangements, security measures and conduct of the examination with the officials.

According to reports, the Education Minister may also meet Union Health Minister JP Nadda soon. The purpose of this meeting is to ensure the cooperation of the Health Ministry for the smooth conduct of the examination. There can also be discussion on coordination between the two ministries to provide necessary health facilities and other arrangements at the examination centres.

After the review meeting, Dharmendra Pradhan assured the students and parents and said that the government is committed to conducting the examination with complete transparency and strictness. He said that no scope will be left for any kind of lapse or negligence.

What did Pradhan say?

Speaking to the media, the Education Minister said, I want to assure the students and their parents that the re-examination of NEET UG 2026 will be conducted without any flaws and shortcomings. He appealed to the students to concentrate on their studies instead of falling into any kind of rumor or worry. The government and NTA are taking every necessary step for the successful conduct of the examination.

Dharmendra Pradhan said, I want to tell the students to continue their preparation and pay full attention to their studies. We will conduct the examination in a completely fair and error-free manner. In this process we also need the cooperation of students and parents.

The Education Minister also made it clear that there will be no delay in releasing the examination results. He said that the government will ensure that the results are declared on time so that the academic session of the students is not affected and they do not face any problem in the further admission process.
