Donald Trump on Iran Nuclear Program: US President Donald Trump on Friday (June 20, 2025) dismissed an intelligence report on Iran’s nuclear program. He said that his opinion of Tulsi Gabbard himself is wrong in this matter. Talking to reporters in New Jersey, Trump said, “My intelligence agency was wrong in this matter.” When he was told that Gabbard made this statement, he reiterated that he is wrong.

This statement has come at a time when tension in the middle East is continuously increasing. The pressure of America and its associates is increasing on Iran, especially with its nuclear program. Earlier in March, Tulsi Gabbard told US lawmakers that intelligence agencies believe that Iran has not taken any decision to make nuclear weapons.

Donald Trump said he does not understand why Iran needs nuclear power, when it already has one of the world’s largest oil reserves. He said, “If they have so much oil then why do they need nuclear power?”

Along with this, Trump also raised questions about the defense spending of NATO countries. He said that America does not need to accept the target of 5% GDP defense spending of NATO, but the rest of the countries should accept it.

Trump criticized Spain

Trump criticized Spain and said that he spends very little money and he also turned down the proposal for defense spending. He said, “Either they are very good deals, or are not doing the right thing. I think Spain should contribute as much as the rest of the countries.”
