There have been reports of many important conditions and differences regarding the talks taking place to end the ongoing conflict and tension between America and Iran in West Asia. It is being said that America has put five big conditions before Iran to end the conflict completely. In this, Iran’s nuclear plants, uranium and many other issues have been discussed.

What conditions did America put before Iran?

According to the report of Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency, America has said in its first condition during the talks that Washington will not give any compensation for the damage caused to Iran due to the sanctions already imposed on Tehran and its policies. Apart from this, the US has also reportedly demanded that Iran hand over 400 kg of its enriched uranium to Washington.

Along with this, America said in the third condition that Iran can keep only one of its total nuclear facilities active. Fourth, Washington has refused to release even 25 percent of Iran’s assets frozen abroad. Apart from this, in the fifth condition the US has emphasized on progress and conclusion of negotiations to end the conflict on various fronts.

US wants to fulfill those demands which it could not achieve in the war

On the other hand, Iran’s Mehr News Agency reported, ‘America has not made any concrete concessions on Iran’s proposal to end the war. America wants to fulfill all the demands without any real concessions, which it could not achieve during the war. Due to this, negotiations may again get into trouble.

Iranian media also said that Tehran has also set five confidence-building pre-conditions for talks. This includes ending conflict on all fronts, especially ending tensions in Lebanon, lifting sanctions on Iran and releasing its frozen foreign assets. Apart from this, Iran has also demanded compensation for the damage caused by the war and recognition of its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, which is important for global oil supplies.

Iran’s only active nuclear power plant, Bushehr, was attacked with a projectile missile on Tuesday evening (17 March 2026), causing panic in the area. However, it is a matter of relief that there was no damage to the plant and no employee was injured. This incident has happened at a time when the war between America, Israel and Iran has reached its third week. Because of this, concerns about nuclear security have increased further.

According to Reuters report, Iran immediately informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about this incident. The agency said that the projectile missile hit the premises of the plant, but there was no harm to the plant and the people working there. IAEA chief Rafael Grossi appealed to all countries to avoid any kind of military action near such sensitive places, because it could lead to a major nuclear accident. Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency also clearly said that there was no damage to the reactor or its main parts and the radiation level was completely normal. Meanwhile, Rosatom also condemned the incident and said that the plant is completely safe.

Where is Bushehr Nuclear Plant located?

Bushehr Nuclear Plant is located on the banks of the Persian Gulf and is the only active nuclear plant in Iran, hence its security is considered very important. At present the situation is normal, but tension remains in the area. After this incident, security has been further increased and investigation is ongoing. Let us tell you that last year America had attacked three nuclear bases of Iran, which included Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. Many Iranian scientists were also killed in that attack.
