India nuclear weapon power: According to a new report by Federation of American Scientists (FAS), India has registered a 92% increase in its nuclear capacity in the last 25 years. In the year 2000, India had about 13 nuclear weapons, which has now increased to 180 by 2025. This means that India has developed an average of 7 new nuclear weapons every year. That too when India’s nuclear policy is no first use.

By 2025, only 9 countries in the world are nuclear weapons. Overall, they have 12,331 nuclear weapons. 90 percent of these weapons are with the US and Russia. However, if we look at the journey of nuclear weapons of India, India did not have a single nuclear weapon in the year 1998. After 2 years, India prepared 13 nuclear weapons. 10 years later, in 2012, India’s total nuclear weapons increased to 100. Currently, India have 180 nuclear weapons.
Where does India stand compared to global nuclear strength?
According to FAS report, a total of 12 thousand 331 nuclear weapons are present in the world at this time. Out of this, only 90 percent of Russia and America have.

Country Total weapon military-taiir launch-red
Russia 5,449 4,299 1,710
America 5,277 3,700 1,670
China 600 600 24
India 180 180 0
Pakistan 170 170 0
Israel 90 50 0
North Korea 50 50 0
All the nuclear weapons of India are in the reserve. This means no one has been deployed. Despite this, India is a select country with nuclear triad capacity. In this way India is also ahead of Pakistan in nuclear weapons cases.

India’s nuclear policy
India’s nuclear policy is still based on no first use. That is, India will never attack with a nuclear weapon, but if it is attacked, it will answer it with full force. Despite this policy, India has continued to increase its nuclear capabilities. It is an indication that India is defensively aggressively ready.

India’s Nuclear Triad: land, water and ability to attack from the sky
India is one of the few countries that keep Nuclear Triad. That is, the strength to launch nuclear weapons by three mediums:

1. from the ground
Fire missile chain

From Agni-I to Agni-VI, whose range range from 700 km to 6,000+ km.

2. With water
Atomic submarines like INS Arihant, which may deeply fired nuclear missiles.

3. From the sky
Fighter aircrafts like Sukhoi-30 MKI, Mirage 2000, Jaguar are capable of dropping atomic bombs.
