With the swearing in of the new NDA government in Bihar, it has become clear which party has got the maximum number of ministerial posts in comparison to its seats. BJP and JD(U) are the largest parties in the NDA alliance which returned to power with 202 seats, but there seems to be an interesting balance between the two in the distribution of ministerial posts. Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time, while BJP’s Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha became Deputy Chief Ministers.

How many seats does which party have?
NDA has a total of 202 seats in the new assembly, in which BJP is the largest party with 89 seats. On the other hand, JDU has 85 seats. Apart from these, LJP (Ram Vilas) has 19 seats, HAM has 5 and RLM has 4 seats.

NDA seat distribution in Bihar elections 2025
In the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, NDA had contested all 243 seats. In this alliance, BJP and JDU were given equal number of 101-101 seats. Apart from these, LJP (Ram Vilas) got 29 seats, HAM (HAM) got 6 seats and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) also got 6 seats.

How many ministerial posts have come to JDU’s account?
Talking about ministerial posts, JDU has got a total of nine posts including the Chief Minister. Apart from Nitish Kumar, JDU’s Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Vijendra Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Leshi Singh, Ashok Chaudhary, Madan Sahni, Sunil Kumar and Mohammad Jama Khan have been made ministers. JDU has been given a balanced and adequate representation as per its proportion of seats.

Most ministers from BJP quota?
BJP has got two Deputy Chief Ministers and apart from this, twelve more leaders have been made ministers. These include Mangal Pandey, Dilip Jaiswal, Nitin Naveen, Ramkripal Yadav, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Narayan Prasad, Rama Nishad, Lakhendra Roshan, Shreyasi Singh and Pramod Kumar. In this way, BJP got a total of 14 ministerial posts, which is more than JDU in number, but considering BJP’s seat count (89), its minister per seat ratio is slightly less than JDU.

Even small parties are in trouble
LJP (Ram Vilas) has secured two ministerial posts despite only 19 seats, which is considered a strong bargain compared to its size. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM has five seats and has got one ministerial post, which is considered a good representation for a small party. Similarly, RLM has four seats and has also got a ministerial post.

Chief Ministers of many states including PM Modi were present at the swearing in.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda were present in the swearing-in. Apart from this, Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh, Rekha Gupta of Delhi, Naib Singh Saini of Haryana, Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam and Nephew Rio of Nagaland were also present.

A major political upheaval has been seen in the newly formed Nitish Kumar cabinet in Bihar. This time Deepak Prakash has been appointed to the post of minister without becoming an MLA. This step is being seen as a political move by Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief Upendra Kushwaha. Initially, the name of his wife Snehlata, who was elected MLA from Sasaram from Kushwaha’s party, was proposed for the post of minister, but at the last moment the equations changed and the situation was completely reversed.

How did Upendra Kushwaha make the deal?

This development is related to Upendra Kushwaha’s displeasure at the time of seat distribution in NDA. It is being said that due to resentment he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and took the promise of an MLC seat. Taking full advantage of this opportunity, Kushwaha made a big political deal. He made his son Deepak Prakash a minister in place of his wife. It is noteworthy that Deepak Prakash has not participated in any election yet.

 Deepak Prakash’s claim confirmed

After joining the Nitish cabinet, it is mandatory for Deepak Prakash to become a member of the Legislature (Legislative Council or Assembly) within six months. With this, his claim for the MLC seat has been confirmed and the political equations have become stronger in his favor.

In this way Upendra Kushwaha achieved two big goals in one effort. He got his son a ministerial post and also ensured the promise of MLC seat from NDA. In such a situation, the strength of Upendra Kushwaha will increase in the Legislative Council also.

Who is included in Nitish cabinet?

1. Samrat Chaudhary
2. Vijay Sinha
3. Vijaykumar Sinha
4. Shravan Kumar
5. Mangal Pandey
6. Ashok Chaudhary
7. Lacey Singh
8. Madan Sahani
9. Nitin Nabin
10. Ramkripal Yadav
11. Santosh Kumar Suman
12. Sunil Kumar
13. Jama Khan
14. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal
15. Sanjay Singh Tiger
16. Sanjay Kumar Singh
25. Deepak Prakash
26. Ashok Kumar Suman

A new NDA government is going to be formed in Bihar. The swearing in ceremony is on 20th November. The atmosphere is bomb this time due to the landslide victory of NDA in the 2025 assembly elections. Preparations are being made for the swearing-in ceremony in a grand manner at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar has reacted regarding this.

Journalists asked Nishant whether you will also go to the swearing-in ceremony? On this he said that yes I will go. On Tuesday (November 18, 2025), Nishant Kumar reached IGIMS, Patna. He said, “My grandmother is admitted. She was serious two-three days ago. She is fine now. Better than before.”

‘It is the public’s blessings… thanks to the public’

Regarding the ceremony to be held on 20th November, it was asked that Nitish Kumar is going to take oath for the 10th time. History is going to be made. In response to this, Nishant said that it is the public’s blessings. I thank the people of Bihar. Be it our party workers or BJP, LJP, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Upendra Kushwaha, everyone is working hard.

NDA family has won: Nishant Kumar

During further conversation, Nishant was told that Nitish Kumar had taken oath in 2005 and was going to take oath again at Gandhi Maidan. On this he said, “Father is fortunate… it is the public’s kindness and blessings.” Chief Ministers of many states will also come to this program and other big leaders will also come, on this he said that everyone is welcome. Our entire family is NDA. Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, whoever comes, everyone is welcome. I also congratulate that the NDA family has won.

On the other hand, Nitish Kumar went to Gandhi Maidan on Tuesday itself to take stock of the preparations for the oath taking ceremony. Apart from Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit and other officials conducted the inspection. A large number of security forces have been deployed around Patna and Gandhi Maidan.

NDA has got a historic majority in the results after Bihar assembly elections. In such a situation, speculations are now being made regarding the formation of the government. Meanwhile, on Sunday (16 November) in Patna, Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas Paswan) leader Chirag Paswan spoke to news agency ANI.

Regarding the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in Bihar, the Union Minister said that it will happen soon. Discussion is going on. I think the situation will become clear in a day or two as to what will be the outline of the government between today and tomorrow.

‘Will meet senior BJP leaders today’
Chirag Paswan said that till late night today, I will also meet and talk to many senior BJP leaders. Things will become clear today or tomorrow. If we have to form the government before November 22, everything will be done soon. Let us tell you that Chirag Paswan’s LJP has emerged as the fourth largest party in Bihar elections. Where RJD, the main opposition party of Bihar, has got 25 seats. Chirag’s party has created history by winning 19 seats.

‘Achieved what my father had envisioned’
Regarding his party’s victory, Chirag Paswan said that his party has achieved the position which his father late Ram Vilas Paswan had once thought of. With hard work, our party achieved what my father had envisioned. Recalling that difficult time, Chirag Paswan said that 2009 was a difficult time when even his father could not win, but in 2014 he made a great comeback. Comparing the circumstances of 2020, Chirag said that history repeats itself.

Talks are going on among colleagues regarding representation in the cabinet of Bihar government. It is being decided how many leaders from various parties will become ministers in the government. A round of meetings is going on from Bihar to Delhi regarding this.
