In the first match of the ongoing ODI series (IND vs SA ODI) against South Africa, Virat had played a brilliant century of 135 runs. Virat has now once again come one step closer to becoming the world’s number-1 batsman. Currently Rohit Sharma is the number-1 batsman in ODIs.

Virat has advantage in ranking

Virat has benefited from his century innings against South Africa, due to which he has now moved up to fourth position with the gain of one place. He has achieved fourth position by defeating Shubman Gill. Virat’s rating points have reached 751, while Rohit Sharma, who is at number one, has 783 rating points.

4 Indians among top-10 batsmen

Let us tell you that there are four Indian batsmen in the top-10 of the ODI batting rankings. Rohit Sharma is at the first place, while Virat Kohli is at the fourth place and the regular captain of the Indian ODI team, Shubman Gill is at the fifth place. The fourth Indian batsman in the top-10 is Shreyas Iyer, who remains at number nine in the rankings.

Virat had recently scored the 52nd century of his ODI career and 83rd century of his international career.

New Zealand’s batsman becomes number 1 in ODI after 46 years

Daryl Mitchell scored 119 runs in the first ODI against West Indies on 16 November. However, due to a back injury, he is out of the remaining matches of the series. Daryl Mitchell has become the first New Zealand batsman since Glenn Turner in 1979 to top the men’s ODI batting rankings.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam has reached sixth position after playing an inning of 102 runs against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi. Whereas Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman are at 22nd and 26th position respectively after scoring two half-centuries in the series.

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan number-1 among bowlers

Rashid Khan of Afghanistan is at number-1 in the ranking of bowlers in ODI. In the list of ODI bowlers, Pakistani leg spinner Abrar Ahmed has jumped 11 places to reach 9th position. Abrar took 3 wickets for 41 runs in the second ODI against Sri Lanka. Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf has jumped 5 places. He is at 23rd position. Apart from him, Jayden Seals of West Indies has climbed three places to 20th position. Roston Chase has gained 12 places. He is currently at 46th position.

Jasprit Bumrah number-1 in test

If we look at the Test rankings, Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who took a total of 6 wickets against South Africa, has retained the top position. Whereas Kuldeep Yadav has moved up two places to reach career best 13th position. Ravindra Jadeja has moved up four places to reach 15th position. South African off-spinner Simon Harmer, who took 8 wickets at Eden Gardens, has moved up 20 places to a career-best 24th position.

Pakistan had a stunning victory in the T20 tri -series with hosts United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan teams, after which many players have improved the T20 International rankings. Pakistan’s left -arm spinner Sufiyan Mukim took two wickets in the final. He has climbed seven places to 15th position.

Apart from these, fast bowler Shaheen Afridi climbed up four places to 22nd place, while leg -spinner Abrar Ahmed came up to 27th position in this tournament with six wickets in two matches.
