There is a shortage of LPG gas in India for the last several days. Meanwhile, the government has now given a big update regarding this. The Central Government has assured that there will be no problem in the supply of LPG in India amid the US-Iran war. He has made it clear that there is sufficient stock of gas in the country. In such a situation, there is no need to panic or get worried.

What information did the Petroleum Ministry give?
In fact, on Thursday, Petroleum and Natural Gas Secretary Neeraj Mittal, while talking to the media, said regarding the LPG crisis, ‘I do not see any problem anywhere. All domestic supply is 100%’. Along with this, he also told that about 70 percent of packed LPG has already been released. He also said that there may be some minor problems in the local supply, but it is not a big deal but is normal, because such problems come every day and they are also resolved.

Also talked about shipment
Not only this, Mittal has also talked about the movement of ships. He has told that there is no hindrance in this, the movement of shipment is happening easily. Mittal said, ‘Despite the blockade, ships are coming continuously. They follow their normal travel time. We are not talking about any delay in crossing the strait. The government is reviewing it every day. If any change has to be made, that too will be done.

What is Plan B?
Addressing the conference on energy security and India’s growing gas demand, Mittal also emphasized that the recent crisis in West Asia has highlighted the importance of planning for adverse situations and strengthening energy security. He said India receives crude oil from 41 countries, natural gas from 30 countries and LPG from 13 countries, and it is necessary to keep these factors in mind while formulating future energy security policies. Apart from this, he also said that the government is engaged in ensuring the availability of gas to all the institutions, and attention is also being given to ensure that we do not have to face such a crisis in future.
