The war between America, Israel and Iran has reached its third week and during this period, for the first time, there has been a direct conversation between the White House Special Envoy and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Washington-based media outlet Axios has given this news quoting American officials.

According to the report, it is not clear what happened between US Ambassador Steve Witkoff and Abbas Araghchi, but it has been learned that this is the first high level conversation after the start of the war. In media reports, citing American and Iranian officials, the same thing is being told in different ways. Some are saying that Araghchi sent messages to Witkoff, while some say that Witkoff sent messages to Araghchi regarding war.

Axios report quoted American officials as saying that the Iranian Foreign Minister texted Steve Witkoff to end the war. However, another media outlet Drop Site News quoted Iranian officials as saying that Steve Witkoff sent the message to Araghchi, but the Iranian Foreign Minister ignored his message.

American officials also say that Araghchi wanted to talk to the White House, but America is not talking to him. However, no official source has given information about how many messages were sent and what happened in them. Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has made a post on this issue on social media platform X.

My last contact with Mr. Witkoff was prior to his employer’s decision to kill diplomacy with another illegal military attack on Iran.

In the post, Abbas Araghchi has written that he has not had any conversation with Steve Witkoff recently. He told that he last spoke to Steve Witkoff when Iran was attacked last year. Araghchi said, ‘Any claims made to the contrary appear to be made to mislead oil traders and the public.’

On Monday (March 16, 2026), US President Donald Trump also said that Iranian officials are trying to talk to American officials. He said, ‘They want to deal with us. They are talking to our people… Some people want to talk, but we don’t know who they are. During this time, Trump had also said that if Iran wants to talk, then we are not against talking. Donald Trump: United States President Donald Trump gave a big statement on Thursday. He said that America and Venezuela together hold about 68 percent of the world’s total oil reserves. Trump said this during his address at the 74th National Prayer Breakfast held in Washington.

Trump said that America had captured Venezuela in January this year and now its oil wealth would be used. Referring to Venezuela’s poor economic condition, he said, “They were in a lot of trouble. Yet they have the most oil in the world, except maybe us.” Trump reiterated that America and Venezuela together hold 68 percent of the world’s oil reserves.

America’s military operation on Venezuela

Citing a major military action in early January, Trump said that America entered Venezuela and captured President Nicolas Maduro and his wife there. He had described this action as a major military operation. During this, Trump said, ‘Our big American oil companies will go there, spend billions of dollars, fix the oil related system which is in poor condition and sell oil on a large scale.’

‘Will run Venezuela until the regime changes’

Trump also said that America will run Venezuela until the transition of power takes place safely. However, legal questions are also being raised regarding this entire claim and military action and there is controversy over it.

Trump said that America will further expand its oil business and will sell Venezuelan oil in the world market. Venezuela is believed to have the world’s largest oil reserves, which are about 17 percent of the world’s total oil.

Nandyal Bus Accident: In Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh, in the early hours of Thursday, a private bus went out of control and collided with a container truck coming from the front and a massive fire occurred. According to the police, at least three people died and many others were injured in this accident. The accident occurred near Shirivellametta village (Shirivela mandal) at around 2 pm. Nandyal district police said that along with the driver of both the bus and the truck, the cleaner of the truck also burnt to death in the fire. Identification of the dead has not been possible due to their burning.

According to the police, this bus of ARBCVR Private Travels was going from Nellore to Hyderabad, in which 36 passengers were on board. Then suddenly one of the tires of the bus burst and the driver lost control. The bus crossed the road divider and collided head-on with a container truck coming from the front.

Panic among passengers

After the collision, a massive fire broke out and within minutes both the vehicles were engulfed in flames. The fire was so intense that fear spread among the passengers inside the bus. Police said that both the main door and emergency exit of the bus failed to open, due to which many passengers were not able to escape first.

Many passengers were saved due to the bravery of the DCM driver.

Police said that the driver of a DCM vehicle was passing by at the time of the accident. He immediately stopped his car and broke the windows of the bus and helped the passengers out. Many passengers were successful in saving their lives by jumping from the windows.

Three people died tragically, many injured

However, the bus driver, truck driver and truck cleaner got trapped inside the bus and died in the fire. More than 10 passengers suffered serious burn injuries, while some passengers also got injured due to jumping from the bus and stampede. All the injured were taken to Nandyal Government General Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared their condition stable. The fire started from the bus and spread to the container truck and both the vehicles were completely burnt. The luggage and personal belongings of the passengers were also completely destroyed.

Relief and rescue operations underway, traffic badly affected

The police team and traffic personnel reached the spot as soon as the information was received and started relief and rescue operations. Due to the accident, traffic on that route was disrupted for several hours and there was a huge traffic jam. Later the route was made normal again by removing the damaged vehicles. The police officer said that a case has been registered regarding this incident and investigation has been started. Statements of the injured passengers are being taken to gather accurate information about the causes and events of the accident. He said that due to the timely help of the DCM driver, more lives were saved.
