On September 14 at the Onam Pononam 2025 program held at AIIMS, Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that “Delhi is really a mini India.” He told that millions of people from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Gujarat to North East, have millions of people from every state. The CM said that he has considered Delhi as his extended family and every person has equal rights on this city.

CM Gupta said that people living in Delhi are not only associated with their dreams, future and career but this city is also part of their family. He said that if the people of every state were not in Delhi, the speed would have stopped here. The Chief Minister described this diversity as the power of Delhi and said that the citizens of all states are moving forward Delhi.

Delhi’s Raunak-Rekha Gupta from different festivals

Rekha Gupta said that Delhi is identified by its multicolored festival and cultural events. According to PTI, he gave the example of Jagannath Puja of Odisha and said that he recently participated in the Jagannath Yatra. Apart from this, programs of Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and other states like Ganpati Utsav and Navratri’s Dandiya were also discussed. According to CM, these festivals increase the beauty of Delhi and the glimpse of the whole of India is seen in the same city.

Congratulating the Onam festival in the program, CM Gupta said that this festival gives the message of happiness and unity in the whole country for 10 days. He said that there is an atmosphere of two festivals in Delhi today and this is a pride and happiness for all of us.

The Chief Minister in the end also said that it is the specialty of Delhi that every culture and every festival is celebrated with equal enthusiasm, so that it really gets the identity of ‘Mini Bharat’.

Banks will be closed on many different occasions

According to the list of holidays given by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will remain closed for 15 days in many states in the month of September. However, this does not mean that banks are going to be closed in a single day everywhere because the holidays in every state are on different occasions. Only on the day of national holiday, banks are closed together in the same day across the country.

In addition to Sunday, second and fourth Saturdays, banks are going to be closed on many festivals like Onam, Durga Puja, Eid-e-Milad and Navratri in the months of September. All government and private sector banks like State Bank of India (SBI), ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank will follow these holidays notified by RBI.

Holiday list in the month of September

• On September 3, banks will be closed for Karma Puja in Ranchi.
• On September 4, banks will remain closed on the occasion of Onam in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
• On September 5, on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad/Milad-un-Nabi or Thiruvonam, banks will be discharged in many cities including Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
• On September 6, on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad/Indrajatra, banks will be holiday in Gangtok, Jammu, Raipur and Srinagar.
• On September 12, banks will remain closed due to Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi in Jammu and Srinagar.
• The banks of Jaipur will be closed on the occasion of establishment of Navratri on 22 September.
• On 23 September, the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh ji will be celebrated in Jammu and Srinagar, so banks will be holiday.
• Banks are going to be closed on the occasion of Mahasaptami on 29 September in Agartala, Gangtok and Kolkata.
• Banks will remain closed on Mahashtami on 30 September in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Imphal, Jaipur, Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi.

Online services will be operational

However, there is nothing to panic in this because even though the branch is closed, online services will remain operational. Today you can manage your account digitally. You can transact money, check balance, pay bills, etc.
