Virat-Rohit lost crores

The online gaming platform has been promoted by most of the players of Team India and they were earning crores of rupees from these platforms. But now after bringing strict laws from the government, all these deals will be completely eliminated. Players like Rohit Sharma, Jaspreet Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya were promoting Dream 11. Mohammad Siraj, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal were seen promoting the 11 circle app. At the same time, Virat Kohli was associated with MPL and MS Dhoni Winzo app.

According to the report of Cricbuzz, Kohli used to get Rs 175-200 crore annually from the brand endorsement for MPL. With the closure of this platform, now Virat will not get these 200 crores from next year. At the same time, Rohit Sharma was also getting Dream 11 to 50-60 crores, while Rohit may lose 6 to 7 crores due to staying in the middle of the deal this year. Similarly, all the players of Team India were earning through the brand endorsement of online money gaming, in such a situation, the money received from it has been completely closed. IPL also got a big shock

The IPL has also suffered a loss due to the ban on online money gaming. My11 Circle is an associate sponsor in the IPL, due to which BCCI used to get Rs 125 crore. This deal was for five years, which has been completed only two years. Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad have lost Rs 10 to 20 crore annually. With the introduction of this new law, the advertising industry has lost about Rs 8,000 to 10,000 crore annually.

Online Gaming Bill Effect: The sponsorship of Dream 11 with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can end. Many companies including Dream 11 (Dream 11) have stopped their work after making laws on the online money gaming platform of the Government of India. Deal finished between BCCI and Dream 11?

The deal was done for three years between the Board of Control for Cricket in India and Dream 11. In the year 2023, this logo was seen on the Indian cricket team’s jersey and this deal was to continue till the T20 World Cup 2026. According to the information received from the sources to the Reuters, this is a deal in which no will not be out of the deal. But the promotion of these sports banned due to the introduction of new laws has also been banned.

The valuation of Dream 11 is about $ 8 billion. According to the new law of the Government of India, whoever brings such sports in the market will be sentenced to three years in jail. According to the new law, on promoting such sports, two years of jail sentence and a fine of Rs 50 lakh will have to be paid.

BCCI took action

Speaking to the Times of India newspaper, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said that the BCCI will not do any work that does not allow the law of the Government of India or the country. Devjit Saikia said clearly that ‘we will not violate any law of the country’. It is clear from this that India will have to look for a new sponsor for Team India’s jersey before the Asia Cup starts.

With this, whoever promotes these online money gaming platform, will also be sentenced to two years in jail. Apart from this, a fine of Rs 50 lakh will also have to be paid.

Rohit-Virat will have to go to jail?

With the arrival of a new law on online money gaming, the question arises that they will also have to serve the jail sentence. The answer is- no, because the law on online money gaming applies today, 22 August, 2025. At the same time, these new rules will also be applicable from today. From today onwards, if any person makes such games or promotes them to play, then he will have to go to jail and also have to pay the fine.

Online gaming platforms will be closed

After the law is enacted on online gaming platforms, many companies including Dream 11 and Winzo have announced that the services of these platforms will now be discontinued. Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in Parliament about this bill that ‘people are losing their life -long earnings due to this money gaming’. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said about this bill that ‘this bill will encourage e-sports’. PM Modi further said that ‘This bill will also protect the society from the harmful effects of online games’.
