Openai, a company that makes Chatgpt, is considering creating its own social media network. The company can launch its platform to compete with Elon Musk’s social media platform X, and META’s Instagram. However, this project is currently described in the early phase.

Sources say that this social media network will be based on the image-generation feature of Openai which was launched by the company in March. It had given air to the issue of copyright as all people started creating Studio Ghibli-SQUE images that were possible using just a simple prompt and a photo. The company’s CEO, Sam Altman also changed its photo on X which used to meet GHIBLI character.

Social media companies are bringing their basic AI models. Which includes Elon Musk’s XAI and META’s AI model. These models can use user data and this data can be used to train AI models in real time. If the social media network of Openai also comes in the market, then it will also get a lot of benefit of user data.

According to The Verge’s report, Altman is allegedly seeking feedback privately from outsiders about social networks. It is also being said that an internal prototype is also being prepared for this. The news outlet also said that it is not yet known that the network will be a separate app or will be integrated with the CHATGPT app. There is also a legal battle between Altman and Musk.
