Under Operation Shield, a mock drill will now be organized on May 31, 2025 in all western states and union territories bordering Pakistan. The second mock drill was to be held on May 29, but it had to be postponed due to administrative reasons.

In such a situation, the mock drill will now be held in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana and Union Territory Chandigarh. After Operation Sindoor, Pakistan targeted the civilian areas and religious places of India. During the India Pakistan military struggle, the enemy tried to attack mostly in these states with Turk’s drones and Chinese missiles, which was thwarted by the Indian Army.

A mock drill was organized across the country a few hours before Operation Sindoor on 7 May. On behalf of the Indian Army, 9 terrorist bases were demolished by air strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK) on the same night.

In such a situation, the aim of mock drill to be organized under Operation Shield is to check preparations to deal with the emergency in the states bordering Pakistan. It will include NDRF teams, civil defense, police, health department and many other agencies.
