Mohammad Yasir, one of the protesters, said that he is opposing this bill peacefully, as Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind told him. He told that his grandfather had vaqf for Abdullah Mosque in Brahmapuri, where everyone has been offering prayers so far. According to him, this bill may obstruct the management of Waqf properties, including the land of mosques and cemeteries.

Mohammad Arif, who is 50 years old, said that the land of Waqf was not tampered with till now, but now this step is being taken for political reasons. He wore a black band as a protest and said that there should not be any kind of tampering from the land of Waqf.

Similarly, Mohammad Ibrahim also expressed his concern for this bill and said that there should not be any amendment in it. He said that the assets of Waqf are legally registered and they buy them and donate them to an institution. In such a situation, the intervention of the government is unfair.
