Evening Snacks Craving: Do you also have a craving for snacks in the evening? To deal with this, you taste different types of dishes. These favorite and spicy snacks of yours are the major reason for not reducing obesity. Shocked? This is not our opinion but that of experts.

Cravings in the evening are quite normal. There are many scientific reasons behind this. After a tiring routine, the body’s energy starts decreasing, due to which the glucose level decreases and the desire to eat something spicy starts increasing. The hunger hormone ghrelin can increase in the evening and if the food is not eaten properly during the day, the cravings increase.

How harmful can obesity be?

Overeating and evening cravings gradually become major causes of obesity, because both of these have a direct impact on the calorie balance and fat storage of the body. When people feel hungry again and again in the evening after a long day, people often eat high-calorie snacks like fried, sweet or packaged foods. This leads to excess calories reaching the body, which are not used immediately and start getting stored as fat. Apart from this, frequent snacking increases insulin levels, which promotes fat storage. Eating sweets and refined carbs, in particular, causes blood sugar to rise and then fall, leading to hunger again and this becomes a cycle.

Why do you feel hungry?

Many researches show that people who do not take the right amount of protein and fiber in the morning and lunch, they feel more hungry in the evening, due to which they start eating unhealthy food. Stress in everyday life can also be a major reason for this.

Also read – Pancreatic cancer Vaccine: Powerful vaccine against the most dangerous cancer, know how successful it will be in the treatment of pancreatic cancer.

How to deal with evening cravings

Namami further said that ‘instead of fighting cravings, we should deal with them wisely. People who want to lose weight and control their evening cravings should include items rich in protein and fiber in their snacks. This will keep your sugar level under control and your stomach will feel full for a long time, due to which you will be able to avoid overeating.

What do experts say

Nutritionist Namami Aggarwal recently told through a reel that ‘The craving for food is highest in the evening? This happens because of hormones. As evening approaches, the hormone called leptin, which controls appetite, starts decreasing. As soon as leptin falls, the energy of the body also starts decreasing, after which the brain starts craving for sugar or carbs.

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has taken a new and important decision for schools across the country. This decision is directly related to the health and lifestyle of the students. Actually, obesity is increasing rapidly in today’s children. The big reason for this is the lack of junk food, oil -rich food and physical activities. In view of this, now CBSE has instructed all schools to take some important steps.

What are the new instructions?

According to CBSE, now ‘oil board’ will be installed in every school. The aim of this board is to tell the children how much and what kind of oil they are using in their food. This will increase awareness in children about eating and they will learn to choose a better option. Apart from this, now all official documents of schools will also publish messages related to obesity and healthy lifestyle. The aim of this is that at every level, children and parents can be made aware of health.

Focus will also be on these things

CBSE has also said that instead of junk food in the school canteen, nutritious and balanced food should be given priority. Children should be encouraged for regular exercise, yoga, sports and other physical activities. Apart from this, students will also be motivated for using stairs instead of lift and walking for small tasks. This will make them physical active and will prevent danger like obesity.

How will the design of ‘Oil Board’ be?

Every school can design ‘Oil Board’ in its convenience and creative way. Its purpose should be informative and understandable for children, so that they can easily understand how to eat oil -rich food can be harmful.

Where will you get help?

If the school wants, they can get educational posters and information from FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) website or YouTube channel. For this, the school can contact eatright@fssai.gov.in. CBSE has appealed to all schools to take the health of students as seriously as they focus on studies. Only a healthy student can become a better citizen and this step in this direction is a commendable beginning.

Overweight in india: Obesity is growing very fast these days. Recently a shocking revelation has been revealed. This new study has found that all adults of about two houses are either overweight or thick. Explain that overweight is usually judged using body mass index (BMI). If a person’s BMI is between 25 to 29.9 kg/m2, then it is considered overweight. Obeses on the other hand are defined as BMIs of 30.0 kg/m2 or more.

Study done on people of more than 6 lakh houses

Researchers at ICMR-National Institute for Cancer Prevention and Research (NICPR), Terry School of Advanced Studies and Symbiosis International analyzed the fifth round of data of the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5, 2019-21) to assess over 6 lakh homes and assess the prevalence of obesity.

He observed that all adult members were classified as overweight in about 20% of homes, while in 10% of homes all adults were classified as thick. According to a study published in the Public Health Journal, all adults weigh over 30% of homes in states like Manipur, Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. In Tamil Nadu and Punjab, all adults were classified as thick in two out of five houses.

Obesity becomes a factor of many diseases

ICMR-NICPR chief researcher Prashant Kumar Singh said that when a member of the family suffers from more weight or obesity, then the possibility of getting fat is also very high. Along with this, Director Shalini Singh said that the domestic cluster of obesity and overweight represents an ideal change in our way of understanding obesity. This study tells us that the family unit is the center of this health challenge.

Not only this, it has been warned that in these family obesity groups, individuals face high risk of development of many non-communicable diseases. It is already known that obesity acts as a marker for poor cardio-metabolic health and is considered to be the entrance to many chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke and heart failure. It is also associated with 13 types of cancer.
