The patient said that he used to feel that someone was attacking him, sometimes insects were seen crawling on the roof of the house, sometimes it felt that someone was following him. Due to these symptoms, doctors first considered him a patient of mental illness like schizophrenia and gave her anticylic medicines. But when he shut down the Norco himself, all the confusion completely ended. Doctors say that this was clearly the side effect of the medicine, not mental illness.

Experts said that very few such cases have been registered, so they are often considered wrong disease. He warned that prolonged consumption of opioid drugs like Norco can cause addiction, mental problems and even there may be a risk of death. The American FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has already said that if drugs like Norco are taken for a long time, they can lead the patient to addiction, overdose and death.

Researchers at the University of Southern California, USA include the developed acetaminophen sensor in a simple nursing pad. It detects acetaminophen in breast milk.

Maral Mausvi, assistant professor at the university’s biomedical engineering, said, “Breastfeeding mothers face a lot of health challenges, including nutritional deficiencies, breast -tak infection – mastitis risk and possible transfer of drugs and other substances through their milk.”

What is lactation pad?

Currently available methods to measure the level of acetaminophen in milk are expensive, complex and unavailable for regular use in the house. The team focused on the lactation pad which is worn inside the bra to absorb leaked milk.

The researcher took a simple lactation pad and created small microfludic channels to move the milk to the sensory area. Pads collect the milk that naturally emanating during the late-down reflex throughout the day. There, low -cost electrochemical sensors work and detect and measure important health markers in milk. The sensor then sends real -time readings to the user’s smartphone through a compact, portable detector, which works like a glucometer, which uses electrical pulse to measure the level of acetaminophen.

It also works on the changing structure of milk

With this information, users can make some decisions – such as pumping and throwing the drug present in milk – ensuring safe food for your child. The researcher tested the accuracy of the sensor using human milk samples with various levels of acetaminophen. He also verified that the sensor works on the presence of antibiotics as well as the changing structure of breast milk.
